IRISH EAST OF ENGLAND 10 Judge(s) MISS A GODDARD DCC COURTINGTON KASSEL (MR I HEMMINGS) Irish Terriers Personal connections with a number of Irish & their owners depleted my entry somewhat. Nevertheless I was pleased with the overall quality. All feet were clean & temperaments good. I found one suspect mouth. PD (0). JD (1) A. PGD (1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Winslow King, top size, lean head, dark eye, ears set & used well, true Irish expression, sloping shoulders, deep chest, good length to back. Considered for RCC but movement let him down. LD (3) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Viscount Erhard, correct size, pleasing head, straight front, deep chest, well ribbed back, quarters muscular with sufficient turn of stifle, in very good jacket, stylish mover. RCC; 2 Cooke’s Lionwood Rowanberry, old fashioned type, superb coat & furnishings, good lay of shoulder, deep chest, strong quarters, very sound on the move; 3 Nevill’s Montelle Lord Montegue. OD (2) 1 Hemming’s Courtington Kassel, correct size, lean masculine head, dark eye, good ears & expression, lovely neck & shoulders, straight front, long well ribbed back, muscular quarters, good turn of stifle, super tailset & carriage, very good harsh jacket, sound purposeful mover. CC; 2 Pratt’s Terrijay Special Brew, heavier build, pleasing neck & shoulders, straight front. Would like more refined head & higher set ears, moving close behind, feeling the heat. PB (1) 1 Gummow’s Pinleybreen Mustard Seed, tall, pleasing head. Shoulder placement could be better, short steep upper arm causing her to stand into her forehand. Good length of back, racy outline, enough turn of stifle, harsh jacket, well put down, sound when settled. Very lively & almost too much for her handler. BP. JB (0). PGB (2) 1 Nevill’s Courtington Elena at Rosemonelle, sister to DCC winner, very smart, correct size, lean head displaying desired dark shading to ears used well, dark eye, good expression, body well put together, harsh jacket, positive mover; 2 Wooding’s Woodwraith Golden Buttercup, correct size, rather heavy in ear which detracts from her long head. Sloping shoulders, well angled quarters. OK in front movement, close behind, outline spoilt by too much coat. LB (6,1) 1 Brown’s Sujoncla Ochinee at Pitsford, ideal size, long lean feminine head, dark eye, good expression, well set ears used just enough when settled, pleasing neck & shoulders, straight front, neat feet, deep chest, long back, muscular quarters, good turn of stifle, presented very well, sound mover, liked her a lot. RCC; 2 Bradley’s Montelle Shes A Lady, nice size, pleasing head & expression, dark eye. Would like more slope to shoulders. Good length back. Rather erratic mover & short of coat; 3 Ruffle’s Ruffmar Bronzed Ballerina. OB (3) 1 Barker & Averis’ Ch Brumbilla Misty Lady, very well known bitch, the perfect size, long lean feminine head, darkest of eye & true Irish expression, used her ears all the time, long neck into well laid shoulders, straight front on tight feet, deep chest, racy outline, tailset & carried well, strong quarters, good turn of stifle, hocks well let down, in hard muscular condition, grand jacket put down to perfection, her movement impeccable. CC, BOB & G4; 2 Hemming’s Courtington Karina, nice size, pleasing head, straight front, good feet, long neck, sloping shoulders, well angled quarters, sound. Needs new jacket; 3 Blower’s Saredon Ruby Red at Turith. Breeder Bradley (Montelle). ANGELA GODDARD |
