IRISH BIRMINGHAM DOG SHOW 11 Judge(s) MR GEOFF CORISH DCC AM CH FLEET ST FENWAY FAN (MR A & MR V BARKER & MALZONI) Irish Terriers PD (2) 1 Seabridge’s Sujoncla Kowtolik, very smart youngster, great coat, lovely head, refined skull, well placed ears, excellent front, good topline. BP & RCC; 2 Grant’s Kerrykeel Cormac at Ticknock, 7 months & still needing some time. In great coat & condition. Never really settled. Not quite as good in head as 1. Well handled & presented. JD (1) 1 Cook’s Montelle Ring Master at Terrahawk, upstanding dog, top size & doesn’t need to grow on. Excellent coat & colour, good bone & feet, straight front, good topline. Would like a bit more length of head & better placed ears. PGD (2) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Winslow King, very showy, good outline. Though a touch in body. Good neck & shoulder, excellent topline. Straight front standing but moving could be a little sounder. Moves well behind; 2 M Ring Master at T. LD (2) 1 Atwell’s Montelle Mr Sandman at Xanwil, very refined in head, good expression. Ears could have a bit more lift. Excellent front & feet, good bone, good neck & shoulder, excellent topline, well presented; 2 Cooke’s Lionwood Rowanberry, slightly older dog but not as refined as 1, not the length of head as 1. Excellent colour & coat texture, moved soundly. OD (3) 1 Barker & Malzoni’s Am Ch Fleet St Fenway Fan, lovely dog, full of presence, shows so well & totally sound, very good head & true Irish expression, super front, excellent topline & tailset, in sparkling order. CC, BOB & G2; 2 Rundle’s Ch Sidewater The Pretender, close to 1 & lots to like. In great coat & colour, good reach of neck. Not quite as good in shoulder. Good front & feet, well handled. GCD (2) 1 M Mr Sandman at X; 2 L Rowanberry. PB (4) 1 Bradbury’s Montelle Leading Light, very promising young bitch, very together which is where she beat 2. Good neck & shoulder, good front, excellent feet. Topline needs to firm up a little. Should have a good future; 2 Hemmings’ Kerrykeel Roisin of Courtington, close up to 1 & had she shown better could maybe have won. Better length of head to 1. Moves OK but a little lazy with her tail. On the table she is lovely to go over, maybe the noise affected her performance; 3 Bamsey’s Holbam Tierneys Girl. JB (1) 1 Atwell’s Xanwil Mystical Girl, very feminine, very good outline, good reach of neck, excellent layback of shoulder, straight front, excellent topline, well presented & handled. PGB (1) 1 Bradbury’s Montelle Ring Of Gold, very ‘Irish’. Very necky, super front, good bone & feet, long clean head, well placed ears when she decides to use them. Very good natural tailset, very sound behind, in super coat. LB (2) 1 Grant’s Ticknock Tamarind Breeze, OK for size, good topline & tailset. Shoulders a bit high. More length of head to 1 & also better ear set. Good coat & well presented; 2 Ruffles’ Ruffmar Bronzed Ballerina, slightly smaller to 1 & just didn’t show as well as I am sure she usually does. Not the length of head of 1 & ears rather low set. Good reach of neck, OK in topline. OB (2) Only two but quite difficult to place. What I liked in one I didn’t on the other. 1 Rundle & Goddard’s Allatsea Gift Of Gold at Marshcourt, still fairly young. I liked her more length of head & more refined in skull. Good neck & shoulder. Topline a little slack at times. I liked her more racy outline in the end. CC; 2 Kenyon’s Sinead’s Siofra of Wyndam, more ‘ready’ than 1 but a bit too heavy in type I felt. Better topline than 1. Good bone & feet, excellent presentation. RCC. GCB (1) 1 X Mystical Girl. GEOFF CORISH |
