IRISH BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 10 Judge(s) MRS SUE MCCOURT DCC CH KERRYKEEL RONAN (MR K ANDERSON) Irish Terriers PD (0). JD (4,1a) 1 Seabridge’s Sujoncla Bear Tooth, nice sized youngster with good head, ears & expression, well laid back shoulders, good firm topline, shown in great jacket, moved well; 2 Hardman’s Spanwise Vermillion, needs to settle on the move. Nice type, clean head, good topline. Not in the best of jackets; 3 Bamsey’s Holbam Winslow King. PGD (2) 1 Hardman’s Drumbilla Diablo amidst Bonosue, another of good size, nice head & expression, good front assembly, firm topline, well set tail, muscular hindquarters, when settles, moves well; 2 Seabridge’s Sujoncla Pokanoket, lovely expression on this dog, good firm body shown in good condition. Just a little unsteady in front movement. LD (6) 1 Bradley’s Montelle Viscount Erhard, most attractive young male who shows himself off to advantage, his clean masculine head is true Irish, good neck & shoulders, firm condition in good coat, moves very well; 2 Hemmings’ Courtington Kassel, full of spirit, so typical of the breed, nice size & condition, well presented, moved well; 3 Cooke’s Lionwood Rowanberry. OD (2) 1 Anderson’s Ch Kerrykeel Ronan, I liked this male as a puppy & he does not disappoint now mature, has a really good clean head with a great expression, lovely neck & shoulders that delight the hand, good length of rib, firm topline, well muscled hindquarters & great feet, moves around the ring with confidence & soundness. CC & BOB; 2 Seabridge’s Kerrykeel Wounded Knee at Sujoncla, I noted at the time that this dog had many of the attributes of 1, then found out they are related, good sized dog with a lovely head & expression, moved well. RCC. PB (3) 1 Gummow’s Pinleygreen Mustard Seed, very alert youngster who was pleased to be in the ring with her look at me attitude, good head & expression, well made body with well muscled hindquarters, moved out very well. BP; 2 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Noleen, good puppy, nice head, eye & expression, well muscled body, good bone. Just preferred jacket of 1; 3 Stahle & Nichols’ Shallcome Cassandra. JB (0). PGB (2) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Pearly Shannon, well presented bitch with much to like, good head, eye, ears & expression, nice in front with good bone, well muscled hindquarters, moved well & had that typical slight rise over the loin that many had missing today; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Snow Storm, nice type, moved well. Earset could be better. LB (6) 1 Kenyon’s Sinead’s Siofra of Wyndam, trimmed to perfection & turned out in really hard condition, had the best neck & shoulders of the day, really good head & expression & she can move really well, for me there is enough of her but such quality; 2 Hemmings’ Courtington Karina, attractive bitch who uses her ears to advantage, nice neck & shoulders, long ribcage, really racy, moves well; 3 Brown’s Sujoncla Ochinee at Pitsford. OB (4,1) 1 Blower’s Saredon Ruby Red of Turith, a very honest bitch with a lovely keen expression, good eyes & ears, elegant neck which flows into well laid back shoulders, topline good, enough dog behind the tail with well developed hindquarters to give her a lovely free movement, well presented & conditioned. CC, her third; 2 Barker & Averis’ Drumbilla Misty Lady, this spectacular bitch did not move as I know she can but her quality could not be denied. RCC.
