IRISH BATH 13 Judge: Miss F A Snook BEST OF BREED : 1408 BARKER, Mr & Mrs A & J & AVERIS Mr J Am Ch Kells Touch Of Fleet St IRISH JUDGE BATH 13 Irish Terriers I was extremely pleased with my entry for my first ch appointment of this breed without CCs. So many quality dogs for me to judge. All had good mouths & sound pads. PD (1) 1 Bradley’s Going For Gold, lovely mature 10 months puppy, super ear carriage with nice flat skull, good harsh coat, super outline, nice tailset, well muscled hindquarters. Being naughty on the move. BP & RBD. JD (1) 1 Stahle’s Shallcome’s Brian Boru, flat skull with nice head, correct length of neck with characteristic fringe each side. PGD (1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Pearly Jack, good head & ear carriage, moved well. Lacking in coat. OD (2) 1 Barker & Averis’ Am Ch Kells Touch of Fleet St, what a wonderful ch, thank you for giving me the opportunity to judge this dog, looks smaller than some of the others but perfectly formed, outstanding head & ear carriage, wonderful outline, superb movement with drive, lovely rich red coat, harsh outer coat & softer undercoat. BOB, shortlisted in the group; 2 Bradley’s Montelle Vision In Red, I have judged before & admired him then. Superb head & ear carriage, good body with well muscled hindquarters. Lacking in undercoat, up against stiff opposition. PB (4) 1 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Aoife, very promising puppy, super ears & head, good body, well muscled, moved well, nice red harsh coat with correct undercoat. RBB; 2 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Kate, good ear carriage, nice overall picture, characteristic fringe around neck, straight front. JB (0). PGB (1) 1 Rundle’s Sidewater Amy Gale, good ear carriage & head, well made body with muscled hindquarters, good correct coat, moved well. OB (3) 1 Rundle’s Ch Allatsea Gift Of Gold at Marshcourt, worthy ch, lovely outline, gorgeous head & eye, good body with turn of stifle, lovely colour coat, harsh on top & soft undercoat. BB; 2 Bradley’s Ch Montelle M’Lady, one I have admired for many years, a worthy ch, lovely for her age, full of strength & muscle, straight front legs with lovely lay of shoulder, quality ears & head. Not the amount of coat due to age, but still correct harsh overcoat & soft undercoat. In superb condition, a credit to her owner & the breed. FELICITY SNOOK |
