IRISH JUDGE BATH 10

Irish Terriers

Thank you for your lovely entry & to Bath who had the rings in pristine condition. On a sadder note these breeds are declining in entries, but criteria stay the same in most Terrier breeds.

Open show entries are at an all time low too, I say this in every critique I write, along with other people too. We need someone to listen, we need more CCs, like every championship show. A champions class is a must, once a dog is on a roll of winning CCs, people stay away, they don’t in other countries where there is a big winner
because they still have a chance of a CC.

I also think RCCs should count for something too, it’s hard to learn to trim these breeds to compete with the top kennels & a champions class would give these people a better chance of making up a champion & keeping people interested. In some of the vulnerable breeds we feed, train, trim them everyday of the year to show them 6 months, which other hobby does that?
