FOX WIRE JUDGE WINDSOR 25
Many thanks to Windsor Championship show for the invitation to judge wires which resulted in an international entry of quality dogs. There were some difficult decisions to make but my final line ups gave for great satisfaction. Thanks to my excellent stewards, Mark and Joyce Collins, who helped make the day even more enjoyable through their expertise.
VETERAN (1)
1st –Williams’ ALKINRA WIZARD.
Ten year old dog of correct breed type with good body shape. Nice head with good eyes and ears. Good neck and shoulders. In excellent coat and condition. Moved soundly both fore and aft. Is a great credit to his owner.
PUPPY DOG (2) 2 ABSENT
JUNIOR DOG (1)
1st – Westwood’s NETHERTONION SPOT ON.
17 month old dog excelling head with correct dark eyes and neat ears and placement. Long neck into well placed shoulders. Good front assembly. Nice body with well set tail. Moved well. In excellent coat and condition. The best of this dog is still to come.
POST GRADUATE DOG (1)
1st – Carson and Howard’s PANDA SPIKE AT TRAVELLA.
2 year old dog of good overall shape. Compact body with good tail set. In nice coat and condition. Sound mover. Just a little plain in head. Nice otherwise.
LIMIT DOG (2)
1st – Valli’s BASHFUL FOXHOUSE.
2 year old dog excelling breed type. Super head with dark eyes. Neat well- placed ears. Lovely neck and shoulders. Short back. Good set on. Plenty behind the tail. Excellent coat, condition and presentation. Although his movement is sound he was a tad erratic today which did not help in my final line up.
2nd – Lilley and Smith’s WYREGAIT KINGS RANSOME.
2 year old dog of fair make and shape. Not at his best today, lacking confidence. Needs a new jacket.
OPEN DOG (5)
Wow – what a class. This is what judging is about!
1st – Cassin’s No/dk/Swe/fin/Nord/int CH. FRANSIN KEYSTONE.
A super headed dog with a great expression. Good eye and ears. Excellent neck into well placed shoulders. Correct front assembly. Nice body shape. Good set and tail with plenty behind. Coat of great texture. Beautifully presented. Moved and shown so well. A pleasure to award him the CC and BOB.
2nd – Am/Arg/Bra/Chi/Hung/Pry/Slo/Ury CH. RANDOM RELIANT.
Another super dog but of a different type. Short coupled and of a lovely size. Super neck and shoulders. Correct tail and set with plenty behind. Nice head and expression with good eye and ears. Well presented. Moved really well. I just think that a new jacket is required to bring out the best in this excellent dog. RDCC.
3rd – De Munter’s UNDERCOVER AGENT VAN FOLINY HOME.
PUPPY BITCH (2)
1st – Orpin’s TRAVELLA SUGAR PLUM (TAF)
A ten month old youngster showing much promise. Nice head and expression. Good eye and ears. In good coat and condition. Moved well when settled. Just needs time. BEST PUPPY. Delighted she went on to be placed second in the Terrier Puppy Group.
2nd – Haigh’s TOPAZWIRE CHASING STARS.
6 month old Ginger youngster. Nice body shape. Fair head. Rear movement needs to strengthen and coat needs more work.

Another nice young bitch excelling breed type. Good neck and shoulders. Correct front. Cobby body. Nice tail set with plenty behind. Moved well both fore and aft. In good coat and condition. Just not the head qualities of winner.
