One of my favourite breeds. Although a small entry quality did not disappoint. Overall presentation was very good. Bites were correct although a couple could do with a teeth clean.

PD (2) –

1. Johnston’s Eskwyre Showdown At Oregill – a very promising 10 month old shown in correct coat and nicely marked. Balanced head with well-placed ears and dark eye giving that keen expression. Good reach of neck leading into well laid back shoulders, strong level back, tail on top with plenty behind. Good overall balance and moved well both ways. Liked him a lot. BP 2. Everard’s Stagwire James Dean – balanced head with good reach of neck. Good coat and tail well set on. Moved okay.

A lovely class

1. Ch Travella Laketrix Set To Strike – a stunning dog with everything I look for in this breed. A great showman who was completely at one with his handler. Correct head proportions with small ears and dark eye giving that keen expression. Great reach of neck going into well laid back shoulders, short coupled with strong level back and plenty behind a well set on tail. Straight front with good bone. In lovely coat and beautifully presented. Moved well both ends CC & BOB. Pleased to see him win the Group and hear that he then went RBIS

2. Schoneberg’s Quirinus V Waldhaus – another lovely dog who was close up to the winner of this class and to whom similar comments apply. I just preferred the tail set on 1. RCC.

3. Wurtzburg’s Blackdale Buccaneer Of Russmews

1. Nixon’s Willowyre Whyte Magic – pretty feminine bitch of nice size and with good overall balance. Lovely head with correctly placed ears and dark eye giving that keen expression. Straight front, strong level back with tail well set on and plenty behind the tail. Excellent hindquarters, moved out well both ways. RCC

2. Everard’s Eskwyre Scottish Edition At Stagwire – not as feminine as 1 and a bigger type. Straight front, pleasing head and expression, moved okay.

OB (5) (2a) –

1. Schoneberg’s Stella Z Kuliaru – picture marked bitch with a dense coat of correct texture. Balanced head and well placed ears which she used all of the time. Dark eye giving that keen expression. Lovely reach of neck going into well placed shoulders, straight front with good bone, level top line with plenty behind a well set on tail and strong hindquarters. Moved well both ways and very well presented. CC

2. Pearce’s Alkinra Rough Diamond – pretty bitch with balanced outline. Pleasing head, small ears which she used well and dark eye. Straight front, good reach of neck and level top line. Shown in very good coat. Moved well. Just preferred the overall balance of the winner of Limit in the challenge for RCC
