FOX WIRE JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 12

Wire Fox Terriers

A numerically small entry but one that contained some excellent exhibits. Some moved more erratically than they might have as they tried to avoid wet areas of the ring but by staying out in the tent we were able to have a good large ring. A few exhibits would have benefitted from more attention to their nails which were unduly long. Ear carriage was variable.

PD (1)

1 Maughan’s Brocolitia Stand To Reason, lively, alert 7 month old, lean head, neat ears, moved soundly when settled down. BP.

PGD (2)

1 Nixon’s Willowyre Watastar, caught my eye immediately with easy movement displaying reach & drive, combines good reach of neck & excellent lay of shoulder with correct body proportions, powerful hindquarters, tight feet, true mover front & back. Quite a handful to show. CC;

2 Anderson’s Proveits Johnnie Be Good, soundly made dog, well balanced with no exaggeration, pleasing head & expression. Not the sparkle of 1 or moving quite as well.

LD (2)

1 Schoneberg’s Zigeunerjunge VD Schonen Bergen, nicely proportioned dog, lean head, good topline. Took a while to settle down to move but moved much better in the challenge. RCC.

OD (3)

1 Maughan’s Ch Brocolitia Strike, smaller dog in comparison to others in class. Well balanced, short coupled, true mover front & back;

2 Pearce & Collins’ Aus Ch Nethertonion Buddy Holly at Alkinra, good lean head & correct eye giving pleasing expression, carried neat ears well. Preferred 1’s body proportions;

3 Lilley’s Wyregait Mister Right.

PB (0).

PGB (4)

This was a difficult class, none of the exhibits appeared to be enjoying the conditions both the weather & the PA announcements.

1 Ford & Burton’s Saredon Billie Jo, this bitch was I felt the best mover in the class & had the best coat;

2 Harding’s Beekay Bellisma, typical in outline. Better in front & coat than those behind;

3 Stebbings’s Jazabrak Moonbeam.

LB (4)

1 Nixon’s Willowyre Wish Upon A Star, lovely bitch, very similar in outline to her litter brother, the DCC winner. Beautiful lean head, neat eye & correctly carried ears, good reach of neck blending into well laid shoulders, short coupled, moved truly with drive, well presented. RCC;

2 Moakes’s Blackdale Request of Jomoaka, sound type of bitch. Not quite the ‘attitude’ & overall balance of 1;

3 Lilley’s Wyregait Reach For The Stars.

OB (3)

1 Barker’s Am Ch Hamptons Court Mystique at Valken, very typical bitch, stood out for her overall balance. Particularly attractive head with correct proportions & small ears correctly carried, correct front & rear angulation enabled good reach & drive when moving, short coupled, strong hindquarters with correct turn of stifle. CC & BOB;

2 Leung & Almeida’s Ch Travella Star Craft, excellent bitch, good body, short coupled, sound mover;

3 Barrett’s Tyquin Artic Fox.
