The entry for this show was on par to most other general championship shows however it was some what reduced by several being absent, unfortunately the weather was not kind therefore judging took place undercover, this was quite unsatisfactory as tent poles and long grass made movement difficult to asses.
Dog CC & BOB, Browne-Coles Travella The Super Trooper, a hound marked balanced dog, very typical of the prefix he carries, appealed for his head, well placed ears & keen expression, neck of fair length, correct level topline, good spring of rib, well made & developed quarters, excellent coat & condition, moved with drive once he got into his stride, one I feel will finish up even better given a touch more maturity.
Reserve Dog CC, Barkers Ironhill Cider Cup, a well presented quality one that has many fine attributes, typical in outline & stance, a touch unsettled compared with the winner.
Bitch CC, Potts & Young Travella Set Fair For Kebulak, has an attractive feminine outline, liked her long head, dark eye & neat ears, fair reach of neck, well laid shoulders, correct tailset, pleasing quarters, well presented in good condition, moved well in front & rear, the best one to cope with todayâ s ring condition, just lacking coat to clinch Best of Breed.
Reserve Bitch CC, Schonebergs Ir Ch Burrencroft Lady Liz, impressive outline, a touch more of her than the winner, typical head & expression, big spring of rib, well made quarters & good tailset, presented in good form, preferred the movement of the winner.
Limit Dog
1st Rices Winning Colours At Duchmorn, a nicely presented dog that has a has a fair length of head, correct bite & dark eye, fair length of neck, level topline & correct tailset, would prefer more bone for his size & better feet, didnâ t cope too well with the conditions.
Open Dog
1st Travella The Super Trooper
2nd Ironhill Cider Cup
Puppy Bitch
1st Thompsons Burrencroft Highly Delight, a raw youngster of 9mths, typical in outline, everything in the right place, just needs time & experience.
Junior Bitch
1st Callega & Schembris MLT Ivram Spot On, an eye catching compact bitch, femine head & expression, short back with level topline, good tail set, pleasing quarters, good harsh coat.
2nd Murphys Eskwyre Extreme, heavily marked one from a larger frame, nice head & expression, good spring of rib, level topline, good set on,
Limit Bitch
1st Thompsons Burrencroft Glamorous, A tan headed bitch that scored in outline, liked her lean head with small dark eye, well placed ears with keen expression, fair reach of neck, well made body, would prefer a touch more hair off in the essential places & a little more body condition, moved freely.
2nd Westwood & Wiggins Nethertonion Chandalier, a well presented bitch who has a compact outline, long head with well placed ears, I thought a touch bold in the eye which spoilt her expression, good spring of rib, good tailset & strong quarters, didnâ t settle on the move.
