FOX SMOOTH WINDSOR 10 Judge: Dr R Barbour FOX SMOOTH JUDGE WINDSOR 10 Smooth Fox Terriers The BOB winner excelled in two aspects in which a number of other exhibits were deficient. Lovely head, expression & ear carriage together with true movement. Generally the quality of the bitches was much better than that of the dogs. A couple of bites were not truly scissor. PD (2) 1 Griffiths & Jones’ Yoxella Whisle And Flute with Daraur, lively youngster, quite a handful to show. Nice outline, good ear carriage, sound mover. BP; 2 Marston’s Chipstead Cello, soundly made dog, moved fairly well. Would like more lift of ears. PGD (4,1a) 1 Richardson’s Glendraterra Pied Piper, balanced in outline, pleasing head, though would prefer higher ear carriage. Good topline; 2 Brookes’s Mischief In Disquise for Zetamaz, more compact in outline than 1. Preferred winner’s head & movement; 3 Harris’ Suffredon Icon. LD (2) 1 Vasseure & De Groote’s D’Mister Leon De La Vetta dit Prosper, rather more rangy in build than 2. Preferred his head, eye & neck, moved freely; 2 Horlock’s Ranlock Portman, more compact than 1, moved soundly behind. OD (5) 1 Crouch’s Yoxella Writers Block among Oxaca, small, but masculine dog, powerfully built, pleasing head, short coupled, true mover. CC; 2 Griffiths & Jones’ Yoxella White Tie, similar type to his brothers, the DCC & the BP, good body & topline. Preferred winner’s head; 3 D Leon De La Vetta dit P. V (2) 1 Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine; 2 Clifford’s Ir Ch Migley Double Oseven, nice to see these two dogs not looking their age & still enjoying their day out, 1 won on body & feet. PB (3,1) 1 Brookes’ Yoxella Wear It Well for Zetamax, a close decision, I preferred winner’s body & hindquarters. Her ear carriage was perhaps a little erratic; 2 Marston’s Chipstead Harp, lively youngster, good reach of neck. Slightly longer in back. JB (1) 1 Morris’ Sanamaris Spill The Beans, promising youngster, presents a well balanced picture, nice head & eye, well sprung ribs, neat feet, sound mover. RCC. LB (3) 1 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, 3 nice bitches, 1 won on her overall balance, ears, neck & shoulders; 2 Chalker’s Rio’s Sparkling Snowflake, alert lively bitch, finer type in type; 3 Saunders’ Galleyshine Secret Love. OB (5,1) 1 Horspool’s Ch Rotur Celtic Desire of Adaires, outstanding bitch, overall presents a balanced & typical picture, lovely head, eye & ears, short coupled, moved extremely well, true with plenty of drive & has plenty of attitude, pleased to see her shortlisted in the group; 2 Clifford’s Migley Whiteside, particularly nice eye & more turn of stifle than most; 3 Schonberg’s Gloria vd Schonenbergen.
