FOX SMOOTH THREE COUNTIES 10 Judge/s:Mrs S A Nixon
FOX SMOOTH JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 10 Smooth Fox Terriers It is a few years since I judged Smooths & I am sorry & disappointed to say that the breed doesn’t seem to have improved. Movement is still awful, lacking in drive & pinning in front. Fronts are either too wide or too narrow, so consequently movement suffers. Ears are still too large on some, giving the wrong expression. On the plus side, I was very pleased with my winners temperaments & condition was very good. PD (1) 1 Lewis’ Dobelands Silent Danger, b/w, lovely head & ears, good shoulders, legs & feet, all white body, good tailset, good balance, strong quarters, moved well. Should have a bright future. BP. JD (1) 1 Brookes’ Mischief In Disguise for Zetamaz, t/w, nice head, good length. Ears rather heavy. Decent front, good shoulders, moved OK. PGD (3) 1 Tindle’s Jesuie Un Rock Star, t/w, very compact, good head & expression, long neck into good shoulders, short body, good tailset, strong quarters, in good condition, moved well. RCC; 2 Richardson’s Glendraterra Pied Piper, t/w, nice head. Ears rather heavy. Good legs & feet, decent shoulders. Longer in back than 1. In good coat & moved OK. LD (1) 1 Marston & Darby’s Chipstead Gulliver from Classicway, b/w, good type, nice head, good neck & shoulders, level topline, well muscled quarters. Not moving well. OD (5) 1 Griffiths & Jones’ Yoxella White Tie, a super b/w quality dog, very well balanced, lovely head & expression, small dark eye, well carried ears, long neck into good shoulders, lovely legs & feet, short level back, good set on, super quarters which he uses on the move, in super coat & condition, won this class with ease. CC; 2 Darby’s Starpride Devil In Disguise, t/w, good head, long neck, short back, good tailset, strong quarters, in good condition. Didn’t put all in; 3 Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine. PB (3) 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Chezatree Sunday’s Grace by Glendraterra, t/w, rather exuberant puppy, sweet head, good eye, neck & shoulders, enough body for age, short back, good tailset, nice quarters. Eventually settled to move OK; 2 Brookes’ Yoxella Wear It Well for Zetamaz, b/w, good head, decent ears, nice front, good legs & feet, nice body & quarters. Preferred tailset of 1. Moved OK; 3 Marston’s Chipstead Harp. JB (4) 1 Morris’ Sanamaris Spill The Beans, b/w, super bitch, lovely feminine head & dark eye, long neck, good shoulders, lovely front, legs & tight feet, short back, tail on top, good coat & condition, strong quarters which she uses on the move. RCC. Little separated this bitch & the CC winner, I am sure she will have a great future; 2 Pearce & Collins’ Dobelands Smoothly Does It for Alkinra, quality bitch, nice outline, good head, dark eye, long neck, decent front, good legs, short back, in good condition. Movement could be better. PGB (1) 1 Tindle’s Jesuie Mystic, well balanced, good head, short back, tail on top, in good coat & condition. Rather erratic in movement. LB (5) 1 Laws’ Sufredon Soul Mate, quality b/w, lovely head, eye & ears, long neck into good shoulders, nice front, legs & feet, short back, strong quarters, sound mover; 2 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, quality bitch, good long head. Ears rather heavy & spoil her expression. Good neck & shoulders, good legs & feet, short back, good quarters, in lovely condition, moved well; 3 Westwood’s Gloria V D Schonen Bergen. OB (5) 1 Horspool’s Ch Rotur Celtic Desire of Adaires, b/w, very stylish quality bitch, very feminine, lovely balance, good long head, small dark eye, super neck into good shoulders, lovely legs & feet, short back, good spring of rib, strong quarters, good bend of stifle, in super coat & condition, moved very well. CC & BOB; 2 Thornton & Bebbington’s Ir Ch Glendraterra Misty Morn, b/w, attractive bitch, long head, good neck & shoulders, short back, good tailset, decent quarters, in good coat & condition.
