Smooth Fox Terriers

I wish to thank the committee for inviting me to judge, also the exhibitors for their entries. There were some lovely exhibits & very promising youngsters coming on which is good for the future of the breed. Just one thing that needs watching is rearends, there were some with no bend of stifle & week development of thighs, this leads to poor propulsion at the rear when moving.

1 Broom & Crouch’s Oaxaca Del Boy with Roxway, t/w dog with lovely clean head, dark eye, well filled foreface, good ears & correct bite, short coupled & level topline, ribbed well back, good bone with straight forelegs & well muscled quarters, good angulation, tail set on top, good coat & presentation, moved very well. BP;

2 Brooks’ Zetamaz Frostbite, another very good pup, nice head, dark eyes, good bite, ears need to settle, good topline & tailset, nice front & quarters, good bone, just slightly longer cast than winner, moved well.

1 Turley’s Tamadale Beethoven, nice head, good ears & bite, nice neck & shoulders, level topline, well ribbed back with tail on top, good quarters, movement could be better, up to size & needs not to grow anymore;

2 Saunder’s Galleyshine Black Emperor, lots to like, in excellent coat, level topline, tail on top, bite could be better, straight in stifle which affected movement.

1 Mullan’s Chezatree The Show Must To On at Tamodan, very nice type, correct head proportions, dark eye, & nice ears giving good expression, good length of neck & level topline, good tailset, would like more rear angulation, moved OK;

2 Darby’s Gosel The Artful Dodger of Classicway, pleasing head, good length with dark eyes & good mouth, nice front & depth, good level topline, nice quarters & coat, moved OK, unfortunately has rather flat front feet.

1 Nichal’s Zetamaz Gossip Column, nice head of correct shape, good ears with good expression, good length of neck into good shoulders, level topline, good bone, needs more angulation at the rear, moved well in front & not behind.

1 Schoneberg’s Konrad V D Shonen Bergen, super head, good ears & expression, good neck into clean shoulders, straight well boned front with good depth, well ribbed back & short coupled, good quarters & rear angulation, shown in top form, moved very well fore & aft, pleased to give him CC;

2 Thornton & Bebbington’s Fr Ch Graindebeaute du Manoir Saint Adrien, another very nice quality dog, good head with good expression & strong foreface, very good front & shoulders, level topline with good tailset, excellent bone. RCC;

3 Grant, Griffiths & Hemming’s Zlatan I De La Rosa.

1 Allen’s Olivia Boramo Sole, 8 years old, pleasing head, nice neck & shoulders, good front, very fit, could be shorter coupled. BV;

2 Chalker’s Rio’s Sparking Snowflake, 9½ years old, pleasing head, but ears could be better, short coupled, fit & moved OK.

1 Brookes Zetamaz Winters Tail, very pretty with loads to like about her, very nice head, good ears & dark eye, good length of neck into good shoulders, good quarters & muscle with tail on top, moved well;

2 Mullan’s Nisyros Climate Control, another promising puppy with good head & Expression, well put together with good bone, good quarters, moved OK, needs to settle more;

3 Baker’s Darlaur Delaware to Tuskenraider.

1 Hughes & Butcher’s Forgevale Simply A Dream, quality head, good front & depth, lovely spring of rib & good quarters, tail on top, well presented & moved well;

2 Darby’s Dobelands Candy Stripes of Classicway, pleasing head, nice eye & ears, good neck, nice topline & size, tail on top, not moving as well as winner, wide in front.

1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Suzi Kew, quality bitch who catches your eye & did not disappoint, great profile, super head, so feminine with well placed ears & lovely expression, strong well angulated quarters best on the day, lovely bone, good feet, long neck into good well laid back shoulders, well ribbed back, strong loin, tail on top, absolutely full of herself, but settled to move well, very sound fore & aft. Pleased to award her CC & BOB;

2 Dams & Meier’s Mystic V D Schwedenschmitte, another very nice bitch in good form, good head & expression, level topline good quarters, short coupled, well ribbed back & good bone. RCC;

3 Griffith’s Yoxella Wiki Leaks. Breeders Mr & Mrs Brookes.
