SMOOTH FOX JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 17

There was some good quality Smooths on view, eye catching with their clean silhouettes standing but so many are not trained to walk without pulling on the lead. Dog showing is such an expensive hobby these days - I just don't understand why exhibitors don't put in a bit more effort into schooling their charges properly as it makes such a difference.

MPD (4):

1 Anderson and Watt's Nisyros Absolutely Bang On, 8 months, smart short backed puppy with clean neck of good length, attractive head with keen, intelligent expression, firm body, excellent coat. Settled down to move and show quite well. Promising;

2 Vickers' Born To Run at Eskwyre, 6 months t/w, very short attention span but a quality puppy with shapely body, good length of head, dark eyes, well conditioned and handled, good tail set;

3 Brookes' Snugglewood's Mefisto Op Zetamaz ( Imp), 6 months t/w, very short attention span but a quality puppy with shapely body, good length of head, dark eyes, well conditioned and ha mondled, good tail set

PD (2):

1 S Mefisto Op Z;

2 Murray's Corriecote Scottish Glen To Yarrum, 10.5nths t/w, masculine head, lovely eyes, good body, legs and feet, well presented and conditioned, good coat. Failed in hindquarters and lacking strength and power in hind movement.

JD (3,2):

1 Stahle and Nichols' Chantalle Dennis The Menace, 17 months, pleasing head, lean, fit and well muscled, good front, well bodied, showed well but movement could be a bit more coordinated.

PGD (5,1):

Not a great class.

1 Dolman's Yoxella Without Equal At Zebec, 22 months, good body and rib, well muscled quarters, decent head, expressive eyes, steady showman with all four feet on the ground when moving. I see he is full brother to BOB bitch;

2 Lundy's Chantalle Desperate Dan, 15 months, typical head, good reach of neck. Clean and well presented coat. Handler could get more out of him standing. Failed in movement.

3 Rundle and Williams' Sidewater Some Buddy.

LD (6,2):

1 Brookes' Zetamaz Black On Track ShCM, 2 years b/w, easily the best mover in this class, masculine head, keen expression, good neckline and quarters, fit and well muscled, showed with spirit;

2 Kato's Saredon Patches, 2.5 years, good type and size, quality head, good reach of neck, well set and carried tail, handled to advantage but not moving as well as 1st front or back;

3 Griffiths' Yoxella Wracking Ball.

OD (4):

1,CC, Broom and Crouch's Ch Oaxaca Del Boy With Roxway, 3 years, good honest dog in excellent form, natural showman, giving himself a well balanced outline, masculine with no sign of coarseness , intelligent expression, we,l carried ears, plenty behind the tail, good reach of neck, excellent topline, well muscled & sound;

2,RCC, Arustamyan's German Ch Percy cd Bismarckquelle, standing I loved this super smart. Quite heavily marked 5 year old, all quality head, lovely expression, excellent neck, shortest of backs, very good coat and condition, well handled. COuld not match Del Boy's movement.

MP. (1):

1 Hannar's Tamedale Snowflake At Borovale, 7 months, feminine head, dark eyes, lacking body at the moment, topline not quite there yet and movement rather unsettled.

PBGV (5):

1,BP, Anderson and Watt's Nisyros American Dream, 10 months, pretty bitch of good make and shape, well proportioned, short back, clean neckline, feminine head, made the most of herself showing off. Could be a little firmer in hind action but shows good potential;

2 Hughes and Butcher's Belfox Paris (Imp), 11 months t/w,ultra feminine in head and outlook, good coat, neckline and body, well muscled, moved OK;

3 Jacques' Lady Daisy of Jacospot.

JB (4):

1 Anderson and Watt's Nisyros Absolutely Wicked, 16 months, showy and focused, keen as mustard, attractive head, keen expression, good body and topline, well proportioned, on her toes;

2 Grant and Hemmings' Lore on White With Fright from Yoxella,12 months, good length of head, clean and well turned out, at the moment looks a bit long cast, moved and showed well, keen and alert;

3 Thornton and Bebbington's Miss Dior Du Manoir Saint Adrien By Glendraterra.

PGB (3):

1 Goodley's Glendraterra Glad Rags, 15 months, good neck and shoulders, feminine head, keen expression, short back, very fit, good tail set, moved and showed with style;

2 Nichols' Chantalle Minnie The Minx, 17 months, good head but could use her neck to better advantage, a little upright in shoulders happy showgirl. Lean body, well handled;

3 Hannar's Tamedale Mystique At Borovale.

LB (3):

1 Davies' L'Magali Du Manoir Saint Adrien of Mosvalley (Imp), quality bitch of 2, clean silhouette, really good neck and shoulders, very pleasing head and expression, beautifully clean and well presented, firm topline, good tail set, showed herself to advantage;

2 Hannar's Tamedale Shakira At Borovale, 2 years, good outline standing but did not settle down properly when moving, constantly pulling on the lead. Short back, attractive head, excellent coat;

3 Rogers' Falkmere's First Impression.

OB (7,1):

1,CC & BOB. Griffiths' Chantalle Yoxella Wish List, 22 months, very good example of the breed, made the most of herself with her proud carriage, tail on top and good attitude! Used her good reach of neck, quality head, keen eyes and e pression, well balanced, everything in the right place, moved and showed well throughout always on her toes. Bright prospect;

2,RCC. Thornton, Bebbington and Corish's Glendraterra Blind Date, 2 years, great silhouette standing, natural showgirl, typical of this kennel with good tail set, neck and topline, quality head. Bit of ring training on the move would greatly enhance her chances;

3 Baker and Jones' Ch Darlaur Delaware To Tuskenraider.
