FOX SMOOTH EAST OF ENGLAND 10 Judge(s) MR R BEBBINGTON DCC YOXELLA WHITE TIE (MR K & MRS J JONES & GRIFFITHS) FOX SMOOTH JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 10 Smooth Fox Terriers I received an excellent entry with many quality dogs on show & I thank the exhibitors for their support, especially in the current climate. The breed has certainly improved since I last judged. Better heads, shoulders & feet were to the fore. However, there are still problems with movement which needs to be addressed. One thing that did concern me was that many had dirty teeth & there are no excuses for this. Thanks must go to my excellent stewards who helped make this a most enjoyable day. PD (0). JD (1) 1 Marston’s Chipstead Cello, all white with tan ears, very nice body shape, great bone, legs & feet, free flowing on the move, just needs to settle. I would prefer a leaner head. More preparation is required to his coat to show off his quality. PGD (3) 1 Tindle’s Jesuie Un Rock Star, t/w with a good outline, nice head & expression with good ears, good legs & feet. Needs to settle more on the move & also a little less weight would be to his advantage; 2 Brookes’ Mischief In Disguise for Zetamaz, t/w dog with a nice outline & excelling in body shape, good legs & feet, moved OK. I would prefer a leaner head & needs to use his ears which would help to complete the overall picture; 3 Goodley’s Tuskenraider Stormtrooper, t/w of good overall shape, nice bone, legs & feet, in good coat & condition. Did not move to advantage on the day. LD (3) 1 Marston’s Chipstead Gulliver from Classicway, b/w, stylish with good type, nice legs & feet, good neck & shoulders, moved OK. I would prefer a longer head to complete the picture; 2 Broom’s Roxway Editor, b/w dog with nice body shape, fair head. Needs time to mature. On the day a little erratic on the move; 3 Baker’s Tuskenraider Stormtrooper, t/w with good overall type. I would prefer a leaner head. Front movement is not his fortune. OD (6) 1 Jones & Griffiths’ Ch Yoxella White Tie, b/w with lovely overall shape, nice head qualities with good expression, good legs with the best of feet, in good coat & condition, moved well to win this strong class. CC; 2 Julian’s Vertway Scots Guard at Lanyons, t/w, quality dog of good overall shape, nice head & ears with a good expression, good legs & feet, in nice condition & well presented. His turn will surely come. RCC; 3 Darby’s Ch Starpride Devil In Disguise. PB (1) 1 Brookes’ Yoxella Wear It Well for Zetamaz, b/w youngster with good body shape, nice bone, legs & feet, fair head. Ears need to settle. Moved OK. BP. JB (5,3) 1 Morris’ Sanamaris Spill The Beans, b/w, lovely overall shape, quality head with good ears, nice expression, good bone, legs & feet, moved OK. Lacked her usual showmanship. Perhaps a season is due; 2 Marston’s Chipstead Harp, t/w, pleasing shape, moves with drive. Better presentation & a new coat will improve the overall picture. PGB (3) 1 Tindle’s Jesuie Mystic, b/w, short coupled with great type, excels head & expression, nice ears which she uses to advantage, good bone, legs & feet, moved OK. However, a little less weight would improve. One I liked. RCC; 2 Hannar’s Ambers Ginger Spice, t/w, nice head & ears, good expression. A little finer all round than 1 & not the topline. Moved OK; 3 Marston’s Chipstead Dynamite, b/w, bigger than leaders, slightly long cast. Moved OK, but requires less coat. LB (5) 1 Saunders’ Galleyshine Secret Love, b/w, short coupled with a lovely outline, fair head & ears with a nice expression. Moved OK when she settled. Requires a new jacket to improve the picture; 2 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, t/w, nice shape with good legs & feet, good coat & condition, fair head with good expression. Just needs to use her ears more; 3 Hannar’s Tamedale Yasmin, t/w, nice head & ears with a varmity expression, in good coat & condition, fair movement. Not the topline of leaders. OB (3,1) 1 Horspool’s Ch Rotur Celtic Desire of Adaires, b/w, quality bitch excelling type, lovely head, eye & ears with a great expression, nice neck & shoulders with good body shape, good legs & feet, moved well, in lovely nick & well presented, reminds me so much of John Lowe’s famous Lanneau bitches. CC, BOB & G3; 2 Laws’ Sufredon Soulmate, b/w, very nice bitch, so typical of this kennel, lovely headed with a good expression, nice neck & shoulders, good body shape, moved well & in lovely condition, pushed hard for major honours.
