It was a lifetime ambition to judge smooth fox terriers at this great show and I must thank Tom Mather and his committee. My two stewards were excellent and a joy to work with. To the exhibitors, at home and abroad, thank you for your entries and lovely dogs. PD 1 Brookes - Zetamaz Candy Man. Good head/ears and expression. Nice reach of neck. Good bone, legs & feet. Tended to lose his topline on the move but a nice puppy. BEST PUPPY 2 Breton's - Arizona Du Manoir Saint Adrien Smaller dog who possesses lovely head/expression. Good reach of neck. Short back. Lost to the winner on movement. JD 1 Kenwright's - Lemajac Billy the Kid. Lovely type. Very good headed dog with dark eye and well set ears. Good reach of neck with short back. He possesses lovely muscle tone, super legs/feet. Let his young handler down in the challenge when he played up on the move. PGD 1 Martin/Lamoureux - Fox Rebell Timothy. Rather heavy made dog. Good head/ears, fair reach of neck, short back, good tail-set/nice legs/feet. Handled to get the best out of him 2 Fears - Chantalle's Ink Blot. Nice type of dog who carried many attributes but was very nervous on the day and would not allow to be judged. LD 1 Boyer's - Vvindsor Fubelfox. very nice type of dog who was top size. Would like a stronger head and ears need to settle. Good reach of neck, short back. Good hindquarters which he used on the move. Was shown to advantage. 2 Reiff/Ceusters Heavier made dog who has good head/ears. Fair reach of neck, good legs/feet. Could have been shown to advantage, moved okay. OD 1 Boyer's - Fr Ch Ulysse Fubelfox. Wow!!! Super dog, one of the best males I have put my hands on. He has lovely head, good strength of muzzle and correct ears which he used to advantage. Good reach of neck and lovely shoulders. Short back, good legs/feet. Hindquarters are well muscled and he moves out really well. In the challenge with the bitch, he showed his head off which decided BOB on the day. CC and BOB 2 Brookes - Zetamaz Rainbow Quest Nice type of dog who I have judged before. Today was the best I had seen him look. Good headed, nice dark eye, he could use his ears better. Lovely legs & feet. Moved okay. Pleased to award him Res CC. VD 1 Hughes, Osbourne, McKenna - CH Forgevale Supremo Good headed dog with strong muzzle and good ears. Good reach of neck, short back, lovely legs and feet moved and shown very well for his young handler. BEST VETERAN 2 Martin/Lamoureux - CH Foxrebel Ramsey. Nice type of dog but was not so clean in head as the winner. Fair reach of neck/short back, good legs, feet moved okay. Good Citizen 1 Rogers - Lunafox Gentle Touch Nice type of bitch with a good head. Her movement was not the best, shown in good condition. PB 1 Henderson's - Finleric Foxy Lady. Heavy tick marked 11 months old. Nice head, dark eye, good expression. Short in neck and a little heavy in shoulders. Moved okay. JB 1 Boyer's - Violine Fubelfox Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Quality from head to toe. Beautiful head, good ears and lovely expression. Long neck, lovely shoulders, good tail set and muscular hindquarters. With time, this bitch will go to the very top. Lost out today only on maturity. 2 Battistini's - Star Pride She Loves Control. Very pretty bitch with lots to like. Beautiful head, dark eve and nice ears. Good shoulders, strong hindquarters. Just moved a little close behind. PGB 1 Martin's & Lamoreux's - Fox Rebel Totally in Love. Very nice bitch who possesses lovely head, dark eye, would prefer ears to be smaller. Good reach of neck and good shoulders, good hindquarters which she used. Moved and handled very well. 2 Goodley's - Eastfox All or Nothing Nice bitch who on the day showed really well. Same qualities as the winner but a bit finer all through. LB 1 Lizzaraga's - Abadene Devil's Been Busy Really liked this black/white bitch. Lovely head, dark eye, well set ears. Good reach of neck, good shoulders. Perfect tail set and lovely hindquarters. She was handled to a very high standard and never stopped showing. Very close to higher honours. 2 Hughes. Osbourne's, McKenna's - Belfox Ximi Nice type of bitch with lovely head/ears, put down in lovely coat and condition. She has good reach of neck, good shoulders, a bit longer cast than the winner and a bit finer all through. OB Hardest decision of the day, 2 beautiful bitches of different type. They were both shown in super condition and a credit to their owners. 1 Hannar's - CH Borovale Jazzmin Lovely bitch who I have admired in the ring many times. She possesses the most beautiful head, eyes, ears. Good reach of neck, excellent shoulders. Short back, level topline. Lovely legs and feet. Never stopped showing on the day. A bitch very hard to fault apart from not being mine!!! CC 2 ‘ Ruggieri, Monfils, McKeown, Bolot - Udine Wry n Wise De La Treviniere Most beautiful bitch who was shown in lovely order. She possesses the most gorgeous head and varmity expression. Lovely neck/shoulders, short back, super legs and feet. Moved really well on the day. Res CC VB 1 Kettle's - Foxindean Future Legend 7 years old who was shown in very good coat and condition. Nice head/ears, good rear end, moved okay. 2 ª Moehrke's - Deu, Lux, Int, NId, Ch Cher V.D. Bismarquelle Heavy marked black marked bitch who has a lovely head, good reach of neck, longer cast than winner shown expertly by a 5-year-old young man.
