DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE WINDSOR 24

Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge, my very efficient and supportive Stewards Ceilia and Margaret. And also to the exhibitors for their entry, although it was small, I was pleased with the quality in each class. Some of the Dandie boys, did not like the going and sadly their movement was hard to assess.

Veteran – (Absent)

Puppy Dog (1, 0 abs)

1st Buckley’s Lovelettie Busy Bean
Super rangey dog with a fabulous reach of unfaltering stride. A strong head housing large teeth with correct bite, complimented by a dark eye and melting expression. Rich mustard coat of crisp texture, usually seen in dogs of more maturity. He just needs his furnishings to become established to really finish the picture. But the dog underneath is an exciting prospect for the future. DCC.

Junior Dog (1,0 abs)

1st Tinsley’s Glahms the Canadian at Cloverwood
An impressive dog who commanded my attention from the onset. Excellent masculine head proportions and dandie expression with scissor bite to match. Good top line and coat of good texture, presented to perfection. Sadly he was one of the boys who just didn’t want to show himself properly on the move.

2nd Baker and Denton’s Cloverwood Storm Shadow
Smaller dog to 1, with the kindest eye and expression. Good head and scissor bite. Handled the ground well. Coat needed a little work.

Post Graduate dog – No entries

Limit Dog (1, 0 abs)

1st Wheeler’s Lenacourt Laird Lochy
Nice sized dog of good length and shape. Good head, dark eye with sweet expression. Best jacket of the day, but didn’t help himself on the move, by bunny hoping all the way round.

Open Dog (2,0 abs)

Two very nice dogs but of different types and placing was a very hard decision.

1st Davies and Kettle’s Bettyhill New Kid in Town
Striking dog who, immediately caught my eye. Strongest of masculine heads, shapely body with crisp jacket in tip top condition. Moved straight in all directions and covered the ground expertly. RDCC.

2nd Kurg, Drake and Drake’s Ch Etsill Mykillkvi with Tollcross
A very sound dog with a lot to really like about him. Well-proportioned head, good top line with correct tail carriage. Presented in an excellent jacket. I just felt that on the day, he lacked enthusiasm on the move, especially against the stride of 1.

Special Beginners (2,1 abs)

1st Baker and Denton’s Cloverwood Storm Shadow. BSB.

Puppy Bitch (2,1abs)

1st Buckley’s Lovelettie Full of Beans
This was love at first sight and I had to try and hold back my smile when I first saw her. Just everything to like about her, from her quality and femininity, to her decisive true movement and her happy disposition, just lovely. BCC,BOB & BPIB

Junior Bitch (1,0abs)

1st Redman’s Puddockswell Little Fig
Good sized feminine lady. Nice head and dark eye. Good topline, jacket coming through but could feel the texture. Movement sound in all directions RBCC.

Post Graduate Bitch (3,1 abs)

1st Cavanagh’s Nora Z Roxburku Sun cum Magellanica
Very happy disposition and enjoying her day out. Good portioned head with a dark eye, I really liked her top line, length and tail set. But was not quite ‘match fit’ today as her coat needs to mature and needed to lose just a tad of weight.

2nd Lloyd- Warrington’s Diddimont Honey Honey
Sweet lady, with a lot to like about her. Good head and top line and was sound on the move. But sadly she lacked confidence in the ring.

Limit Bitch (1,0 abs)

1st Cavanagh’s Puddockswell My Darling Clementine cum Magellanica
Like her kennel sister, absolutely loving her day out. Nice sized lady with a good topline and correctly proportioned head with characteristic expression. Coat was good and moved well in all directions.

Open Bitch – No entries
