Dandie Dinmont Terriers

VD (0).

MPD (1)

1 Milton’s Etsill Blackstar with Wilmit, 7 months, large head & eye, well boned legs, good feet, carried a good body. He was a little unsure of his surroundings but eventually settled. Moved OK coming & going.

PD (1)

1 Drake’s Tollcross Tartan Tavish, a pleasing pepper puppy who was presented in first class order & in coat of good texture. Large head, well placed eye, good pigmentation. Front OK, enough bone for size, firm body but could carry a touch more to advantage. On the move he made the best of himself out & back.

JD (1)

1 Russell & Greenway’s Bardolynns O’leary, 14 months mustard dog, decent body shape, balanced head, well set & carried ears. Good bone, coat of good texture that was in super order. He is well schooled & gave a good account of himself on the move, a touch untidy coming towards but OK going away, topline a touch flat in profile.

PGD (1)

1 Booth’s Borderstone Kingman for Lannia, a balanced head, front OK but a touch tied coming towards, rear movement good, Coat of good texture & well presented. Good tail of correct length & well carried. Well sprung in rib & enough length of body.

LD (3)

1 Rolland’s Dandiroyal Diggory Delvet ,this quality mustard boy who is another I have previously judged & he has developed well. Strong head with correct dentition, adequate bone, good coat that was well presented, front ok, strong rib. On the move he was very true coming towards & retained good outline in profile. Today he carried a good strong body, good tailset & carriage. Pleased to award him RCC. Well done;

2 Parry’s Belapapavo Baron Berkeley of Leber, a pepper dog of good breed type, he failed to the winner in front. Lovely headed dog, well placed ears, strong neck, adequate bone, good feet. Lovely body, good coat texture, looked well in profile;

3 Jacka-Slater’s Pennywave Lone Ranger.

OD (4,1a)

1 Deacon’s Cassencarrie Top Marks, this boy is no stranger to me & has won well before under me. A pepper dog out of the top drawer he impressed me for breed type & masculinity combined with quality. Lovely quality head, strong powerful foreface, well set & carried ears good over the neck & shoulder. Good bone, legs & feet. Super body shape with well sprung rib & good shape over the loin with well muscled hindquarters. His coat was of good texture & well pencilled & very well presented. On the move he was true both ways & retained his outline in prolife. Standing he presented a true Dandie picture, pleased to award him the CC, just pipped by the bitch for BOB;

2 Bromley’s Ch Mishahda Volcanic Storm, 6 years, well balanced head, good expression, nice clean neck, shoulders well laid. Ribs well sprung, carried a touch too much body for me which showed on the move. As he could have displayed more drive in profile.

VB (1)

1 Powis & Wallen’s Venord Windchant, this 7½ years mustard was presented in first class order with a coat of super texture. A quality headed girl who had such an appealing expression. Good mouth, decent front, good bone, well ribbed body. Gave a good account of herself on the move out & back.

MPB (2,1)

1 Rolland’s Dandiroyal Sophie, this 6 months pepper bitch is very much a baby as you would expect, she carried a good body for her age, balanced head, lovely eye. Strong neck, front OK, good outline in profile.

PB (2)

1 Milton’s Puddockswell Hot Lips Houlihan at Wilmit, 11 months mustard, very pleasing type, good head & expression, good legs & feet, good body & balance, good set-on, moved well in front, OK going away but very good in profile. Could do with a new coat but what she had was of good texture. Pleased to award her BP. Well done;

2 Drake’s Tollcross Thistledown, a pepper who was presented in super coat of good texture, needs to develop in head, good body, correct length of tail. On the move she was not as collected as the winner in profile.

PGB (3,2)

1 Powis & Wallen’s Siwop Black Baccara Rose, well proportioned head, good body properties, front OK, but a touch stilted on the move behind. She did not make the best of herself & lacked drive in prolife tending to spoil her outline.

LB (4)

1 Shore’s Mishahda Golden Chestnut at Swanwillow, this mustard girl has certainly come on since I judged her as a minor puppy, she scored in this class on length of neck, nice head & eye, well boned front but a touch loose coming towards. Lovely well ribbed body, good topline & tailset. She could have done with a new coat but the texture was good. She moved with purpose & style & gave a good picture in profile;

2 Jacka-Slater’s Cloverwood Duchess May, yet again I have judged this quality mustard before & still admire her good breed type. Today she was presented in super coat but for me carrying a touch too much body which spoilt her outline in profile. Good coming towards but today she looked a touch stilted going away. Lovely head & eye;

3 Bell’s Dandiroyal Rita Skeeter.

OB (3,1)

1 Milton’s Ch Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit, I have judged this pepper bitch before & liked her, she has now matured into a lovely bitch. So true in front, good head & eye, shoulder placement OK, good rib, carried a super body, strong well muscled hindquarters. On the move she was good out & back & has strengthened behind since I judged her as a youngster. Her coat was of the correct texture & was very well presented giving a good picture. In profile she looked super & strode out so well which carried her through to the CC & BOB in good company. Well done;

2 Rolland’s Dandiroyal Puddleglum, again I have judged this pepper bitch before & done her well. Strong balanced head with a lovely dark eye, well set & carried ears giving a good expression. Good width in front but today was not as accurate coming towards as the winner, strong & firm going away. Good body & rib. Her pencilled coat was of a good texture & well presented.
