Dandie Dinmont Terriers

V (2,1a)

1 Smith’s Somercloud Starprize at Glendandy, lovely head with good dark eye & typical expression, well presented & moved well round the ring.

P (2,1)

1 Skitt & Stanford’s Dainty Dandies King Of My Castle, delightful little fellow. At just 6 months he was not fazed by this first outing. Lovely dark eye & expression, coat just coming in. Moved well & showed a good topline with good tailset. Lots of growing to do but loads of potential too. BP.

JD (3,1)

1 Kurg’s Hawkesmill Jefferson at Etsill, lovely pepper with good head & topline, long body with well sprung ribs. When he got going moved well. Presented well & in good coat. RBD;

2 McKenzie’s Inzievar Royal Scot at Avonview, not as mature as 1 but had a good head & dark eye. Long body with not so much furnishing as 1.

GD (1)

1 Watson’s Dentgate Noel, lovely head with fine ears & a dark eye giving that typical Dandie expression. Good length & topline, moved well round the ring.

OD (1)

1 Riach’s Puddockswell Moon Dance, lovely outline, correct topline & tailset, moved well round the ring, good head & dark eye with lovely fine ears. Strong shoulders, well laid back with well sprung ribs, presented well. BD.

JB (4,1)

1 Chapman’s Inzievar Gold Spark, lovely mustard with great head & dark eye, fine ears, sound movement front & rear, groomed & presented very well. Just preferred the length of the BB. RBB;

2 Riach’s Puddockswell Shadow Weaver, long & lean. Lovely workmanlike Dandie. Good head, dark eye & endearing expression. Preferred the movement of 1 on the day; 3 Milton’s Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit.

GB (5,1)

1 Skitt & Marshall’s German Dandies’ Trixibelle, lovely head & good dark eye, good topline & length of neck, moved well round the ring & beautifully presented;

2 Smith’s Glendandy Twinkle Star, carrying more coat than 1. Good head & dark eye, strong shoulder & good drive on the move; 3 Dunipace’s Hawkesmill Iolanthe.

OB (4,2)

1 Russell’s Hawkesmill Ishbelle, lovely pepper, long & lean. Strong skull & dark eye with typical Dandie expression, very feminine picture. Good length of rib & correct topline, moved soundly round the ring with good drive. BB & BOB;

2 H Iolanthe, another feminine Dandie. Moved & showed well but I just preferred the overall movement of 1 on the day.
