DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE SKC AUGUST 15

Dandie Dinmont Terriers

I would like to thank the officers & committee for my judging appointment I really enjoyed my day. Thank you to my steward who made my job much easier. I had a lovely entry of quality young dogs with the bitch classes very strong, some very close decisions. Some young superstars will have a bright future in the show ring. Temperaments excellent, coats good. Thrilled with my winners & delight to see BOB took G4 in the terrier group.

P (5,1a)

1 BP, Shore’s Mishahda Golden Chestnut at Swanwillow, 10 months mustard bitch, confident puppy showing with real promise, strong skull, correct proportion of skull to foreface, lovely dark eyes with good expression, correct scissor bite, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders & a good front, good topline, moved with drive, correct mustard coat well presented;

2 Hubbard’s Bonnybeck Chrystal Cascade, 10 months mustard bitch, pretty feminine bitch with lovely expression, very good reach of neck, kept her topline on the move, just needs more time & confidence on the move, shows promise.

J (1)

1 Small’s Bettymac Dram O Dalwhinnine, 13 months mustard dog at his first show, outgoing young dog who has lovely temperament. Strong skull, dark eyes, mustard coat coming in, just needs trimming into shape. Moved out well but needs to strength in hind movement.

1 CC & BOB, Chapman-King’s Inzievar Gold Spark, best class of the day, a great pleasure to judge Dandies in top form coming head to head in competition. Both winners are top draw & will have a wonderful showing career. This bitch demanded attention as soon as she came into the ring. Presented in immaculate condition with beautiful mustard pencilled coat. Such a feminine head & expression, lovely dark eyes, good mouth with strong muzzle. Super reach of neck into beautiful shoulder placement, excellent front, strong bones & neat feet. Flowing topline which she holds both standing & moving. Moves with drive from well developed hindquarters. Loved her ring presence, delighted to see she was G4 in terrier group, congratulations;
