DANDIE JUDGE NAT DOG SHOW 09

Dandie Dinmont Terriers

PD (0),

JD (2)

1 Bullock & Keevil’s Yazga Love Thye One You’re With, just out of Puppy, lovely domed head with nice round dark eye, good angulation with correct topline & good tail carriage, powerful movement from the rear, looked very positive on the move, good texture to his lovely mustard coat, one to watch for the future;

2 Culverhouse’s Cassencarrie Gandalf at Lykath, good youngster with true Dandie head & expression, good length to neck, nice topline with good depth of chest, hindquarters well angulated, good crisp mustard double coat, moved OK but not quite the ring presence or enthusiasm of 1.

PGD (2)

1 Kelly & Hobson’s Swanwillow Jackamanii, good body shape & outline on this mustard boy, nice head & eye, good layback of shoulder & plenty of depth to chest, stifles well angulated with good strong hindquarters, moved well;

2 Osbourne & Puddockswell’s Amber Melody for Braego, would have preferred a stronger head, nice dark eye & good bite, good spring of rib & depth of chest, well muscled hindquarters with good tail carriage, moves well from the rear just needs to tighten in front.

LD (8)

1 Denham’s Scottsbairn Duke Of Ross, beautiful pepper coat with good texture, lovely masculine head with good round dark eye, true Dandie expression, well muscled throughout, chest well let down & good spring of rib, good shape to topline & rear angulation, moved with power from the rear. RCC;

2 Carter’s Cassencarrie James Blonde, nicely made mustard with good head & expression, good front & rear angulation, pleasing topline, strong muscular neck, well padded front feet, moved well. Just preferred the overall balance of 1;

3 Cadwallader’s Bettymac Sunsamba.

OD (1)

1 Deacon’s Am Ch Pennywise Burning Ambition for Casencarrie, stood alone but what a quality boy he is, long, low & weasel-like body, true Dandie shape, lovely masculine head with dark eye, good ear placement & good muscled neck, good angulation front & rear, lovely mustard pencilled coat, movement is strong & powerful, very eyecatching on the move, in good hard condition. CC & BOB.

PB (2)

1 Fry’s Dentgate Confetti, still very much a baby, lovely coat coming through, sweet head & expression with good bite, good length to neck, the body shape is there, she just needs time to mature into it,
smart little mover enjoying her day out. BP;

2 Hughes’ Maganbar Silver Geisha, not making the most of herself which was a pity, lovely outline with a sweet head & expression, good length in body & good angulation, nicely padded front feet. Would like to have seen her moving with more drive & enthusiasm.

JB (2)

1 Motler’s Wazzly Athena, good mustard coat, nicely domed head with dark eye, good shape to body, long & low with good spring of rib, good angulation, good strong movement from the rear, carries herself well on the move;

2 Osbourne’s Pitfirrane Silver Lady of Braego, a little larger overall than 1 but still in proportion, I just loved her pepper coat & lovely tan markings on her feet, strong head just felt that the lack of ear tassels distracted from her expression, very well muscled throughout with good angulation, powerful mover, a very sturdy looking Dandie.

PGB (8,1)

1 Shore’s Swanwillow Passion Flower, not in her best jacket but this did not deter from her lovely shape, lovely Head & dark eye with strong muscular neck & body, good angulation, moved well;

2 Kinsley-Morgan’s Inzievar Gold Edition, close decision with 1 but just felt that on the day she lacked the sparkle & overall balance of 1, very pretty bitch with good head & eye, good length of neck & nice shape to topline, good tail carriage & turn of stifle, moved well with elegance;

3 Bromley’s Mishahda Tempting Touch.

LB (5)

1 Green’s Inzievar Rose Gold for Abbeywater, very appealing little bitch with beautiful mustard jacket, sweet head & expression with large dark eye, chest well let down & good length to body, good shape to topline, hindquarters strong & powerful, good padded front feet, moves well with good hind action, a very smart little Dandie;

2 Morris’ Hendell Tassel at Pennywave, close up to 1, just felt that she was carrying a little too much weight, lovely shape to head & good length to neck, good depth to chest & well sprung ribcage, good hind angulation & moves with power from the rear, well presented with good mustard coat;

3 Heywood’s Schalulleke.

OB (5,1)

1 Shore’s Ch Swanwillow Savannah, a real showgirl, very alert to her handler, most beautiful head & silky topknot, lovely outline & is very well muscled throughout, plenty of depth to chest & strong powerful hindquarters with good tail carriage, good padded front feet, moves straight in front & with good drive from the rear, a true example of the breed. CC;

2 Mannia’s Ch Wazzly Persephone at Kirskill, a close decision between 1 & 2, very well made Dandie with lovely head & expression, profuse silky topknot which showed off against her lovely pepper jacket, good shoulder angulation & nice shape to body, hindquarters strong & muscular, moved well with true drive from the rear. RCC;

3 Deacon’s Cassencarrie Red Ribbon.
