DANDIE DINMONT MIDLAND COUNTIES 14 Judge(s): MRS S A McCOURT Dandie Dinmont Terriers MPD 1 Kurg’s Hawksmill Jefferson at Etsill, good moving youngster, really good head & expression, shown in lovely coat & condition. Should have a very promising future. BP; 2 Bore’s Alltallach Winter Sun, stylish pup, crisp jacket, nice body, not as good behind as winner. PD 1 Eves’ German Dandies Tom Jones of Sylvanken, good head & eye full of expression. Moved well with a happy gait; 2 Youngster’s Inzievar The Goldsmith, good head & expression, harsh coat of good length. Sound well carried tail. JD 1 Tinsley’s German Dandies Terence Hill at Cloverwood, very sound moving dog, shown in good harsh jacket, appealing head & good backskull; 2 I The Goldsmith. PGD 1 Sleight’s Bonneybeck Moonlight Bay, good body shape & head, nice neck & shoulders. Moved soundly well presented; 2 Bell’s Hawksmill Indigo from Reidswire, smart bitch, nice head, neck & shoulders, good topline, well presented coat with good pencilling. LD 1 Jacka-Slater’s Pennywave Lone Ranger, pleasing head & expression, good neck & topline, rather proud of his tail. OD 1 Tinsley’s Cloverwood Royal George, such a well known dog, but so well deserving of all his wins, what an ambassador for the breed! He has a classic head & expression, eyes that would melt the hardest of hearts, well muscled body covered with a harsh jacket trimmed to perfection, he moves out well. I was so pleased to award him CC & BOB & later to watch him win G4 in the group; 2 Kerrush’s Inzievar Silver And Gold, another quality dog shown in first class form & condition, groomed to perfection, moved very well, just preferred the head & expression of winner. RCC. MPB 1 Milton’s Hawksmill Jenny Got Wilmit, what a confident baby! Lovely head & expression, good neck & shoulders, correct topline, moved really well. PB 1 Booth’s Lannia Jacasta, good weasley body with lovely harsh coat. Showed well; 2 Jacka-Slater’s Cloverwood Royal Rhea, pretty headed raw baby, coat just coming, moved well with good tail carriage. JB 1 Tinsley’s Cloverwood Totally Devoted, a young bitch put down to the minute, lovely head & expression, great neck, good topline & tail carriage. Moved well, just needs time & she will surely gain her title; 2 Young’s Dentgate Opal, very nice type of bitch who moves well. Unfortunate to meet the winner in such form. PGB 1 King’s Bonneybeck Delilah Creek, good headed bitch, nice neck & shoulders, carrying just a little too much weight today but still moved well around the ring; 2 Bell’s Lannia Charm from Reidswire, a much finer bitch throughout, moved OK. LB 1 Kurg’s Etsill Skara Brae, very sound bitch, in good jacket which is very well presented. OB A very difficult class to judge, there were two different types of Dandies in this class, two larger ones & therefore two slightly smaller ones! So I had to remember the Standard & its requirements. 1 Deacon’s Swanwillow Signature, the best headed bitch in the ring, she has a good head with correct backskull, the most expressive eyes, lovely balance between nose to stop & stop to occiput, good neck & shoulders that flows into a good topline just rising slightly at the loin. Shown in good coat & condition, she was happy until the challenge for BOB but I was pleased to give her the CC which I was told later gave her that important 3rd for her title, well done; 2 Corish’s Cloverwood Five Stars, wonderfully presented bitch, not a hair out of place! She was so well handled & moved out really well, good body, correct texture of jacket, it was a close decision but just preferred the head of winner. RCC. SUE McCOURT |
