PD (2) Two decent young chaps. 1 Tinsley’s Glahms Regal Canadian, great charm. Large well proportioned head with well fitting round eye, correct foreface with strong underjaw. Positive front, good length of back with typical topline. Crisp top coat & silky topknot. Goes well. BP & PG4; 2 Miller & Cox-Purcell’s Puddockswell Augustus Magnussen with Dryfevalley, 7 months & true action holding his shape on the go round. Has type in head with correct muzzle. Well developed ribs & body. Not quite as positive coming & going as winner at present. JD (2) 1 Wager’s Inzievar Border Silver, 16 month with balance, quality & type. Lovely expression from big round clean eye. Has strength in head with clean lines. Good bone & feet, well ribbed with correct back line. Firm hocks which he used to advantage; 2 Booth’s Borderstone Kingman, decent bone for balance, & has correct upper arm. Strongly made with good rump & strong hocks, not just as tidy in front action as winner. PGD (1) 1 Sleight’s Bonnybeck Moonlight Bay, 2 year old, mature, soundly made & going with typical gait. Lovely personality. Presented well. OD (3) 1 Tinsley’s German Dandies’ Terence Hill at Cloverwood, this 2 year old mustard appealed in head, large, balanced but not overdone. Masculine throughout with correct bone & lay of shoulder. Has arch over developed loin & fall to good tailset & use. Fit & muscular with crisp top coat & silky furnishings. Performed to advantage. BD; 2 Jacka-Slater’s Pennywave Lone Ranger, masculine with shapely typical outline. Handled & presented to advantage. A quality chap who deserved his place. RBD; 3 Bell’s Hawkesmill Indigo from Reidswire. PB (0). JB (3,2) 1 Harcourt-Morris’ Dainty Dandies Royal Dutch Emma, 15 month in full bloom with silky topknot & correct body & coat. A pretty well balanced girl who showed her quality standing & moving. Stands on short muscular legs & well padded feet. PGB (2,1) 1 Russell’s Hawkesmill Ishbelle, feminine pepper, in grand body & condition, with well sprung ribs leading well back to developed loin. Most appealing head, eye with good width to underjaw. Could be a touch shorter in hock. Lovely attitude. OB (3) Grand class. 1 Milton’s Ch Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit, as I went over this quality fit muscular bitch, I felt she would take some beating today. While I was right, I did not realise that I had seen her before, but was informed afterwards that I had previously shortlisted her in a championship group. Obviously my opinion remained the same, she is shapely, stylish & totally sound. Delighted to award her BB & BOB; 2 Jacka-Slater’s Cloverwood Duchess May, another who has obvious type & performs with a confidence that exudes her quality. Lovely to judge these typical sound, fit bitches. RBB; 3 Tinsley’s Cloverwood Totally Devoted. PATSY HOLLINGS |
