DANDIE DINMONT LEEDS 10 Judge: Mr F Kane DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE LEEDS 10 Dandie Dinmont Terriers As usual the Dandies were a great pleasure to judge, such characters & wonderful temperaments. A nice entry. PD 1 Swanwillow sea Captain, 10 months, lovely shape & size, excellent head & eyes, good movement with a typical topline & good coat; 2 Dandyhow Dexter, 7 months, excellent length & weasel like body shape, very good topline & rear. Needs time to drop in body & finish in head, but full of promise. JD 1 Etsill Scapa Flow, p/s, scored in head, front, coat & topline. Could be a little stronger in rear, but I liked his size, shape & quality & these virtues won him RBD; 2 Cassencarrie Bobby Vee, bigger dog, stronger all through & not the head, eyes or front of 1. Good length & ribcage, moves well in rear. Not in the best coat. Well shown & when in good coat can have better days. PGD 1 Puddockswell Moonshadow at Dryfevalley, lovely size & balance. Could have a little more rise in his topline. Lovely head. Needs to spring in rib. Good front, but can strengthen in rear; 2 C Bobby Vee. OD 1 Vistca Vincent, mustard, easy winner for type, size & shape. Could have a little more neck, but has a lot of quality. Good skull & eyes, in good coat, good front action. BD; 2 Dengold Enterprise, 6 years, good size & length. Coat could be better & not the skull or foreface of 1. PB 1 Swanwillow Sea Breeze, took the eye immediately, 10 months, lovely puppy, excellent shape, beautiful eyes, correct topline in her weasel shaped body, good skull & eyes. Can finish a little more yet in foreface. Good coat, above all a wonderful mover, her hind movement outstanding in the entry & I thought this outweighed her immaturity & awarded her BOB; 2 Deegandan Lavender of Dun Eideann, 11 months, good length & coat. Just a little severe in her croup & not the strength of foreface of 1. Good mover, very good coat & colour; 3 Dentgate Destiny. JB 1 D Lavender of Dun E. PGB 1 Puddockswell Hootin Annie at Etsill, mustard of lovely size, not in her best coat, but scored in front action. Good head proportions, has a lot of type; 2 Somercloud Starprize at Glendandy, bigger type, beautiful head, good rise of skull from marked stop, strong foreface of correct proportions & lovely eyes, good body length. Not very shapely as she was carrying excess weight, but I gather there might be a reason for that; 3 Norfolkhaven Black Tulip. OB 1 Hendell Cassiopeia at Dengold, lovely size & shapely body, sound moving. Could be a little stronger in rear. Good head. RBB. |
