DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE DARLINGTON 14

Dandie Dinmont Terriers

V A. P (5)

1 Kurg’s Hawkesmill Jefferson at Etsill, pepper male who I like very much. He has a nice head with the correct proportions, large round eyes with a melting expression. Good neck, well placed shoulders, front needs to improve. Long in body, flexible with the correct topline. Good spring of ribs, deep chest. Nice hindquarters, correct tailset & carriage. In nice coat & showed well. BP & RBD;

2 Milton’s Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit, litter sister to 1. Very similar to her brother in head & expression. Similar in body, darker & harsher coat. Moved steadily & showed well;

3 Skitt & Marshall’s German Dandies’ Trixibelle.

JD (1)

1 Sleight’s Bonnybeck Moonlight Bay, mustard with a pleasing head & expression, well rounded eye, nicely filled muzzle. Good in neck & shoulder, nicely made body with the correct spring of rib. Nicely balanced shape with the correct outline. Waiting for his new coat to grow through, showed well.

OD (3,1a)

1 Kurg’s Ch Etsill Scapa Flow, pepper who I judged a few years ago, did not recognise him. Pleasing headpiece, good eye with correct well placed ears. Good topknot, correct neck & shoulders. Would prefer a better front, he has a good body shape & correct outline. Strong hindquarters which he used very well, correct tail carriage. In good coat & showed well to win BD & BOB;

2 Jacka-Slater’s Pennywave Lone Ranger, mustard with a nice head & expression. Correct topline but rather gay with his tail. He has a good body & moves quite well behind. In a quality coat of the correct texture. Happy showdog.

JB (2)

1 Denham’s Dentgate Fire Opal, pepper girl of a nice size, pleasing head & expression. Large eye & well filled muzzle, correct topknot. Good neck, could move better in front. Balanced shape & outline. Good turn of stifle, well muscled hindquarters which she uses well. Nice coat & well presented. Showed well. RBB;

2 King’s Bonnybeck Delilah Creek, mustard who left the ring before I could make full notes. I remember she is a mustard with a decent coat & carried her tail a little gaily.

OB (5,3)

1 Denham’s Dentgate Hollyberries, pepper girl, correct size & feminine outlook. Good head & expression, nice muzzle. Good neck & shoulders, correct in front. Good length of body, nice spring of rib, with a good outline. Correct tailset & carriage. Well made hindquarters, good bone & feet. Nice double coat for texture & well presented. Moved well behind & showed well. BB;

2 Skitt & Marshall’s Duneideann Limited Edition, mustard who is a more substantial girl than 1. Pleasing head proportions with a well made body. Good topline, decent coat & moved steadily behind. Showed well.
