I was happy with my winners, they met the Standards. My concerns over the past few years have been the lack of correct top lines in the breed. The importance of top lines can not be overlooked as this gives the spine it’s flexibility and therefore the Dandies ability to dig underground and to pull its quarry from its den. It also gives drive and power from correct shoulders along the spine to hind quarters. Flat top lines will make the dog prone to displaced discs and poor mobility. We as breeders and ambassador of the breed must work hard to keep this unique characteristic. Special Beginners Dog (2) 1 1 Poole Hawkesmill Merlon - 3yrs mustard dog , very workman like, masculine strong skull, coat had correct texture, shoulders placement was slightly upright and his hind movement was close behind. PD (1) 1 RDCC and Best Puppy.1st Mr and Mrs Drake and Kurg Etsill Mykillkvi with Tollcross. 8 month pepper dog. Lovely appealing expression with very dark eyes, as any pup can melt your heart. Strong skull, scissor bite, lovely neck with shoulder placement particularly well set, top line present, hind quarters just need a little time to strengthen. Correct coat with undercoat which was crisp. He moved with purpose around the ring. Nicely balanced puppy and he deserved his win today. JD (1) 1 Karlson Gladiolus at Karelia imp Russia. 12month pepper dog unsettled on the table,strong skull, ear placement correct. Lovely dark eye with lovely expression. Correct scissor bite,coat just coming in, still short. Elbows slightly out, his movement was better when he relaxed. LD (1) 1 Poole. Hawkesmill Merlon. OD (3) 1 B.O.B D.C.C.Miss S Butcher CH Mishahda Mischief Managed.14 th mustard dog well handled and presented gave an overall balanced masculine dog worthy of his win. He has strong skull, correct scissor bite, well muscled neck, correct shoulder angulation. Good top line which he held on the move, hind quarters strong moved with drive. 2 Milton and Kurds CH Barton Dandies Charles Darnay 3yr mustard dog slightly unsettled at times. Masculine dog with strong head, scissor bite. Jacket just coming in, preferred the hind movement of 1. 3 Webber’s Lilyhone Great Showman. Special Beginners Bitch (1) 1 Turner. Tarr Redgreet Mary Buttercup. 22mth pepper bitch. Very shy today would benefit from puppy training classes. Overall nice size with sweet expression, difficult to assess movement as reluctant to move around the ring. PB (2) 1 1 Allenby Diddimont Andante at Karelia. 6 month mustard bitch, young promising baby who is very feminine with kind soft expression, dark eyes that can melt your heart. Scissor bite, correct shoulder placement, lovely top line, moved well around the ring.Well done. JB (2) 1 R.B.C.C. Buckley Jollygaze Quizzical for Lovelettie. 17mth pepper bitch. Very pretty bitch, so feminine. Correct size and balanced throughout. Lovely head with deep dark eyes that look straight in to your soul. Correct bite, strong muscled neck, good shoulder placement, top line present. Presented in lovely condition a double jacket which is a joy to see. This bitch moved around the ring with drive and never stopped trying to please her handler who she clearly loves. This handler always seems to get the very best from her dogs and is a credit to the breed. I will watch this youngster for future. 2 Bell Codgodas Beurre D Avalon.17mth mustard bitch another feminine bitch with soft expression which framed a lovely head. Good mustard jacket. I was delighted to be asked to judge Dandies at prestigious Championship Show - thank you to the Committee, office bearers and to my very capable and efficient Stewards, who did a fine job. I was happy with my winners, they met the Standards. My concerns over the past few years have been the lack of correct top lines in the breed. Special Beginners Dog (2) 1

1 Poole Hawkesmill Merlon - 3yrs mustard dog , very workman like, masculine strong skull, coat had correct texture, shoulders placement was slightly upright and his hind movement was close behind.

PD (1)

1 RDCC and Best Puppy.1st Mr and Mrs Drake and Kurg Etsill Mykillkvi with Tollcross. 8 month pepper dog. Lovely appealing expression with very dark eyes, as any pup can melt your heart. Strong skull, scissor bite, lovely neck with shoulder placement particularly well set, top line present, hind quarters just need a little time to strengthen. Correct coat with undercoat which was crisp. He moved with purpose around the ring. Nicely balanced puppy and he deserved his win today.

1 Karlson Gladiolus at Karelia imp Russia. 12month pepper dog unsettled on the table,strong skull, ear placement correct. Lovely dark eye with lovely expression. Correct scissor bite,coat just coming in, still short. Elbows slightly out, his movement was better when he relaxed.

1 Allenby Diddimont Andante at Karelia. 6 month mustard bitch, young promising baby who is very feminine with kind soft expression, dark eyes that can melt your heart. Scissor bite, correct shoulder placement, lovely top line, moved well around the ring.Well done.

1 R.B.C.C. Buckley Jollygaze Quizzical for Lovelettie. 17mth pepper bitch. Very pretty bitch, so feminine. Correct size and balanced throughout. Lovely head with deep dark eyes that look straight in to your soul. Correct bite, strong muscled neck, good shoulder placement, top line present. Presented in lovely condition a double jacket which is a joy to see. This bitch moved around the ring with drive and never stopped trying to please her handler who she clearly loves. 2 Roberts.Power of Love De Cyneole at Marbledale(imp)Stronger bitch up to size but not coarse. Nice head would prefer a darker eye. Jacket just coming in. Shoulder placement upright and this causes movement to lack drive from behind.
