DANDIE DINMONT CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 10 Judge: Mrs Gill Denham DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 10 Dandie Dinmont Terriers The Dandie has always been my first love & I enjoy nothing more than to watch them working & natural hunting in their pack at home, therefore movement & quality of conformation has always been a priority in my judging. If they can’t move they could not be ‘fit for purpose’. I was very pleased with my winners & there are some nice youngsters coming up the classes. PD (1) 1 Shore’s Swanwillow Sea Captain, 11 months, sound mustard youngster, good skull, lovely expression, strong neck, good jacket, well presented, happy outgoing youngster. JD (4) 1 Hunter’s Etsill Scapa Flow, lovely young pepper dog, strong head, wide low set ears, dark eyes, correct mouth, correct reach of neck, topline, moved with drive; 2 Sleight’s Cassencarrie Bobby Vee, young mustard dog, up to size with strong head, good length, moved well, good presentation, well handled. PGD (4,2a) 1 Miller’s Puddocswel Moon Shadow at Dryfevalley, pepper, nice size, strong masculine head & expression, clean shoulder, good topline, hind movement OK; 2 C Bobby Vee. LD (3,1) 1 Jones & Skitt’s Vistca Vincent, elegant rich mustard coat in great condition, strong skull, lovely Dandie expression, profuse top knot, good clean shoulders, topline, moved well maturing very nicely; 2 Keevil & Bullock’s Yazga Love The One Youre With, nice sized mustard, good jacket, strong skull, dark eyes. Just preferred 1. OD (4,1) 1 Eriksson’s Sw/Norw/Dan/Fin Ch Scottishbairn Hugh if Ross, outstanding pepper dog, dominated the ring, standing & on move, strong masculine head, profuse top knot, large wide low set dark melting eyes, perfectly balanced, strong elegant neck flowing into clean well angulated shoulders, wonderful front assembly, good ribbing, correct topline, exceptional hindquarters, correct length of stifle & rear angulations created super movement with reach & drive. CC; 2 Carter’s Cassencarrie James Blonde, nice size, strong skull, very correct mustard jacket. Preferred the front of 1. Moved with drive from hindquarters. RCC. PB (5) 1 Shore’s Swanwillow Seabreeze, 11 months pepper, feminine lovely head, dark wide set eyes, soft expression, good shoulders, nice front, the topline moved well. BP; 2 Bell’s Kirkhalin Mystic Prudence, lovely pepper, nice eyes, very feminine head, sweet expression, lovely reach of neck, good front, ribbing & length, moved well for a youngster.
