DANDIE DINMONT BORDER UNION 18 Judge(s): MRS SARAH SHEILD (DENTGATE) It was a great honour to be invited to judge my first championship show at Border Union and my sincere thanks goes to the committee for asking me. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for bringing their dogs along it was great to judge so many Dandies. It was also lovely to so many puppies. Overall I felt that coats and heads were strong, however I was a little disappointed in the lack of ground cover in movement and the lack of femininity in the bitches head. 1 & Reserve Dog CC and Best Puppy. Milton's Wilmit Chindit. Lovely pepper dog, young but with everything in the right place, good angulation and ground covering movement. Lovely dark eyes and expression. Has the makings of a super dog, one to watch with interest. 2 Riach's Puddockswell Billy Bathgate.Mustard dog with lovely head lacks a little of the angulation of first place also needs a little time to mature. 3 Campbell Black's Puddockswell Buster Brown. 1 Bell's Reidswire Lord O' Liddesdale. Mustard dog good head and pencilled coat, movement a little close behind just needs time to be stronger. 2 Thomson's Dryfevalley Mister Todd. Nice head and dark eyes could have had more coat today. Unfortunately today he moved a little unsteady on the grass. 1 Hubbard & Miller's Dryfevalley Johnny Fox. Mustard dog good length, masculine head and good coat texture. On the day movement wasn't shown to full potential, shame. 2 Thomson's Dryfevalley Mister Todd. Nice head and dark eyes could have had more coat today. Unfortunately today he moved a little unsteady on the grass. 1 Miller & Cox-Purcell's Puddockswell Augustus Magnussen (IKC). Pepper dog lovely top line and in a good pencilled coat. Today he didn't show his full movement on the grass, shame. 1 & Dog CC. Kurg's Ch Hawkesmill Jefferson At Etsill JW. Pepper dog with strong masculine head and in good coat. Could have more reach in front legs when on the move. 1 & Reserve Bitch CC. Allenby's Wilmit Mildred Potter. Lovely Mustard bitch great topline, length and feminine head. Really good ground covering movement. Potential star when fully mature and very well handled. 2 Miller's Dryfevalley Jitterbug. Mustard bitch in good coat, a lovely head and expression. Just lacked the length of 1st but a nice bitch. 3 Stanley's Sokrovische Gardariki Astory At Waffelin. 1 Stanley's Honey Hope Ze Zihelske Zahardy At Waffelin Lux Jnr Ch. Mustard bitch in good coat and moved actively forward. She has a strong head would like her to look more feminine. 2 Sleight & Dixon's Mishahda Where It All Began. Pepper bitch good pencilled coat and dark eye. 1 Allenby's Wilmit Mildred Potter. Mustard bitch in good coat and moved actively forward. She has a strong head would like her to look more feminine. 2 Bell's Reidswire Lady Bryghte. Pepper Bitch lovely head and expression just lacked a bit of balance between front and rear. 1 Riach's Puddockswell Shadow Weaver. Pepper bitch nice length and topline, moved well. Good head but could be more feminine. 2 Davies' Loudounhill Tranquil Iona. Pepper Bitch with good length of body and coat. Correct head could be more feminine and the loin was a little long which affects her movement. 1 Miller's Dryfevalley Miss Muffet. Mustard bitch with a lovely coat, nice length and moved well just lacks a little angulation in the shoulder. 2 Davies' Meriel's Munnings. Mustard bitch small but correct just a bit shorter than 1st. 3 Cox-Purcell's Puddockswell Hocus Pocus. 1 Milton's Ch Hawkesmill Jenny For Wilmit JW Sh CM. Pepper bitch with good length of body, in good coat and moved well. Would have liked to see a more feminine head. 2 Saville's Ir Ch Puddockswell Maudie Mack At Darcellie. Pepper bitch nice topline and moved well. 1st just had more length in the body. 1, Bitch CC & BOB. Kinsey-Morgan's Inzievar Gold Effect. Mustard bitch lovely head and feminine expression. Lovely topline with great angulation which then allows her to move freely forward with a ground covering movement. She was also in great coat. 2 Kinsey-Morgan's Inzievar Gold Edition. Mustard bitch small but correct just lacked the length of 1st. |
