DANDIE DINMONT BLACKPOOL22 Judge: Mr Frank Kane It is always a pleasure for me to judge this beautiful breed which puts a smile on my face. A smaller entry reflecting the current covid state and quality in the lower classes could have been deeper. A couple of very good juniors coming on and it was good to see a few young people in the breed – short in supply in many breeds but not so here – perhaps it is the sporting atmosphere which makes the difference – long may it remain so. 1 Tinsley’s Cloverwood Black Jack. 10 months pepper of good length and some curve to his outlie. Well made and strongly boned. He needs to drop in chest. Good head proportions but needs to develop a little more. Eye of good size and shape. Sound and accurate on the move and particularly good in front - just needs to get his curves now. BP. 1 Butcher’s Mishahda Mischief Managed. 17 months mustard shown in superb condition with lovely coat. A very shapely body which he carries on the move and he moves well. Good rise of skull. His muzzle is a little long for perfect balance but he has lovely quality and breed type all through. RDCC, and should gain his title. Best Junior on the day on maturity over the lovely bitch. Two young people with two lovely exhibits. Congratulations. 1 Simpson’s Dandiroyal Dream Catcher. 22 months pepper with a very good head, balanced with good rise of skull, large eyes and square muzzle. At the moment his topline lacks the desired curves. Good rear, a little wide in front. Coat needs time to come through. 1 Simpson’s Dandiroyal Dream Catcher. Repeat. 2 Swallow’s Belapapavo Joyous Jaguar. 2 year old mustard who has a curvy topline and good head type. His ears are a little heavy. Good coat texture. His front is a little broad and loose on the move. 3 Prince’s Busgrove Mikey. 1 Milton & Kurg Barton Dandies Charles Darnay. 2 year old mustard with beautiful head and eye, some curve over the loin to a low set tail. Carrying maximum body on the day and when he loses this it will enhance his outline. Good bone and feet. Sound moving. Excellent type all through. Needs a little more coat. Won DCC on head over the very shapely junior. 2 Poole’s Hawkesmill Merlon. 3 year old mustard also a little heavy in body. A good mover but lacking curves to the topline. Foreface a little long for balance. Lovely temperament. 3 Prince’s Busgrove Mikey. 1 Denham’s Dentgate Hucklberries. 22 months mustard, good length but a little exaggerated in topline. Good skull and eyes. Foreface a little long. Carried himself well. Shown in good coat. 2 Prince’s Busgrove Mikey. Repeat. 1 Bamber’s Dentgate Mutuca Indicolite. 8 year old pepper, a jaunty mover. He has good proportions but lacking a little curve now. Coat a little harsh, full of character. Good skull and expressive dark eyes. 1 Bell’s Cofgodas Beurre D’avalon. 10 months mustard, lovely size and curvy in outline. Excellent skull and eyes and a square foreface. Needs to tighter in front. Lots of promise here. The dog puppy scored on the move today. 1 Buckley’s Jollygaze Quizzical For Lovelettie. 15 months pepper, a lovely youngster full of breed type, lovely size some curve to her topline and with a beautiful head and eye. In excellent coat. Just needs time to finish in chest. She should have a good future. Great rapport with her young owner who got the best out of her. 1 Rolland’s Dandiroyal Dream Maker. 21 months pepper, a good winner of this class for her curves, movement and lovely head of excellent proportions. 2 Bamber’s Dentgate Silk Red Ribbon. 2 year old pepper, lovely size, some curves to her body and a jaunty mover. I preferred head proportions and front actions of the winner but she has lovely expression and large dark eyes. 3 Cavanagh’s Puddockswell My Darling Clementine Cum Magellanica. 1 McCain’s Blue Violet Flower At Bankwillow. 2 year old pepper bitch of lovely size and a beautiful head. Curvy in outline and carries herself well. Her front action could be better. 2 Roberts’ Power Of Love De Cynoeole At Marbledale. 2 year old heavier bitch who is a good mover with good ribs and a little curve over her loin. Stronger head than winner whose eye and expression I preferred. 3 Cavanagh’s Puddockswell My Darling Clementine Cum Magellanica. 1 Sleight’s Ch Danchester’s Can You Hear Me Roar For Bonnybeck. 2 year old mustard of lovely size and shape and shown in excellent form. Good rear action and topline held on the move. I like her skull and eyes. Muzzle could have a little more strength under the eyes but overall, a very good example of the breed. BCC & BOB. 2 Tinsley’s Cloverwood The One And Only. 2 years, with the best head of the class with beautiful eyes. Excellent mover. She needs a little more curve to finish her off. Pepper and salt coat of good texture, best front action here. RBCC. 3 Allenby’s Ch Diddimont Luna Wuffgood JW. 1 Milton’s Ch Hawkesmill Jenny For Wilmit JW ShCM. 8 year in good form. Of correct size, good curves and in excellent coat. Very good stride. Full of type. I gave her a Reserve CC as a young bitch. Retains her quality, her topline not at its best o the day. BV. |
