DANDIE DINMONT JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 18

JD (1)

1 Denham's Dentgate Mulberry, sound, free-moving pepper dog. Good head and expression and grand length of neck leading to excellent shoulders and correct topline. Plenty of rib and correct tailset. Moved well both ways, keeping his topline on the move. Pleased to give him his first ticket - CC and BoB.

PGD (3,1):

1, Brown's Great Gatsby Ze Zihelske Zahrady, pepper boy with good head and expression; long and low but rather level. Shown in good coat and well presented. Sympathetically handled by his young owner, Res CC;

2, Cavanagh's German Dandies Zoe at Puddockswell, another pepper boy with pleasing head and expression, shown in good coat and moved well both ways.

LD (4,1):

1, Youngs' Inzievar the Goldsmith, well-known mustard which I have judged before when in better coat and condition. Pleasing head and expression and long and low, but lacking animation today;

2, Miller and Cox-Purcell's Puddockswell Augustus Magnusson, well-known pepper with quality head and expression. Long and low, but could tighten in front and I preferred the length of neck in the winner. Another lacking in animation;

3, Hubbard and Miller's Dryfevalley Johnny Fox.

OD (2,1):

1 Booth's Borderstone Kingman for Lannia, well-known pepper dog, well presented and moving freely. Head could be stronger and he was lacking in arch over loin, which spoils his topline.

MPB (3,2);

1, Miller's Dryfevalley Jitterbug, pale mustard baby of nice type and well put together. Head to develop and needs to settle - couldn't assess movement.

PB (2,1):

1, Brown's Czech Ch Henrietta Harris Ze Zihelske Zahrady, long, low pepper with good head and expression. Well presented and handled, moved well both ways, but rather level in topline - Best Puppy.

JB (5,3):

1, Sheppard's Dentgate Sugarberries at Thystine, litter sister ro dog CC winner. Long, low pepper bitch with good head and expression, moved well both ways due to sound conformation - Bitch CC;

2, Stanley's H0oney Hope Ze Zihelske Zahrady, sturdy lady with good expression. Well- constructed and with good reach of neck, but rather wide in front with arch over loin too far back.

LB (4,1):

1, Miller's Dryfevalley Miss Muffet, well-constructed mustard bitch in need of a new coat. Good head and expression, excellent topline and moved well both ways- Res CC;

2, Youngs' Dentgate Opal, smaller pepper bitch with nice head and expression and in good, if short, coat. Moved ok in front, but not so well behind.
