CESKY WELSH KENNEL CLUB 15 Judge: Mr D Ericsson BEST OF BREED : 4572 TOBIJANSKI Mrs W Janski Celtic Ceska CESKY JUDGE WELSH KENNEL CLUB 15 Cesky Terriers Always a pleasure to judge this breed but we were second in the ring so had to wait a very long time before judging could commence. I was however pleased to see that my winners were able to make it to the various finals in time, but only just! I have judged Cesky Terriers all over the world for a long time & it is pleasing to see that type has now become more established, also in the UK. I was however surprised to see quite a few who were not as confident in temperament as I would have liked. VD (2) 1 Taylor’s Polede Lforluka, 10 years dog of very good type with excellent overall proportions, masculine head, fair front, good body & rear, moved OK for age; 2 Burrows’ Pendevour Pascal, 7 years masculine dog standing a little tall, very good head & expression, front not so good, typical topline, fair coat, moved OK. PD (2) 1 Taylor’s Janski Ossie Jones at Polede, attractive puppy with very good body for age & his overall proportions are excellent, masculine head with good ears & eyes, fair front, excellent mover & he showed well, tail carriage needs to improve; 2 Tobijanski’s Janski Miloslav, another good puppy but slightly different in type & I found him a little tall & square in outline, scores in head & expression which is really excellent, would have preferred a better forehand, OK coat, moved well. JD (2) 1 Tobijanski’s Janski Over The Moon, young dog of correct type, very good body, excellent hindquarters, head could perhaps be a little more masculine & I hope his colour improves, overall however a very good puppy who moved & showed with easy & who presented a pleasing picture of the breed. BP; 2 Lewis’ Ridley Xanto for Dajaces, stronger & a little stockier in build then the winner & also more masculine in body & head, but he was very uncooperative & rather nervous making movement difficult to assess. Will do well when he decides to like dog showing! PGD (2,1a) 1 Burrows’ Malicek Na Pendevour of Cesky Dreams, very typical with really lovely head, ears & expression, excellent front, good body with typical topline, sound quarters, good coat, but he needs more confidence in the ring in order to look his very best. OD (3) 1 Burrows’ Pendevour Pierrot, easy winner in this class where he impressed me very much with his overall breed type & really lovely head with dead perfect ears, very good body with correct topline, sound front & rear, good coat, showed well, just a little restricted in hind movement, very good temperament & he was well presented. BD; 2 Tobijanski’s Janski Ceskasson Blue Moon, well presented masculine dog, a little stronger overall than the winner but also narrower in front, good body, sound quarters & he moved well, coat in good order, excellent overall make & shape. RBD; 3 Lewis’ Komidion Nickelodeon avec Dajaces. VB (1) 1 Tobijanski’s Janski Celtic Ceska, this is a really lovey bitch & I felt she was an easy BOB winner here today, wonderful breed type & of ideal size, good feminine head with well placed ears, lovely coat in perfect condition, the very best of bodies & hindquarters, carries her tail perfectly & her movement is outstanding. A pleasure to judge & she won BB, BOB. PB (1) 1 Tobijanski’s Janski Silver Star, alert outgoing bitch with delightful temperament, very good body & sound hindquarters, head needs to develop also coat, happy show girl & very good temperament. JB (0). PGB (1,1). OB (2) 1 Taylor’s E’french Connection Du Champ D’eole via Polede, very typical bitch of correct type & size, excellent head & ears, very good body, topline & hindquarters, lovely coat in good order, front not so pleasing, standing she looked very well but she was rather tense on the table & uncooperative on the move. Her overall quality however made her win RBB. DAN ERICSSON |
