CESKY THREE COUNTIES 22 Judge: Mrs S Samson Many thanks for the invitation to judge my breed at this level. Appreciate all those that have entered, being on a school day had affected the entry sadly. I was looking for a confident show dog of good shape, size with good movement, this I found in my main winners. OD 1 Richardson’s Wherrypoint Dafyyd Talyot. A good start to the day. This young man ticked the boxes for me, all male while retaining the breed elegance, in super silky coat, moved out briskly with confidence and style, head is refined but still strong enough, good bite and expression, preferred his ear size, good body shape without exaggeration, tail was carried outwards and not tucked under himself, a pet hate of mine. His frame is well built and muscled throughout. A born show dog. BD and BOB over the bitch as much more the finished picture. 2 Goundry’s Komidion Rimsky-Korsakov At Sarminija. U nfortunately this young man really didn’t want to be here, which affected his performance and movement, different in build to first and not the elegance, found him to be in good condition, well muscled throughout, saw bursts of fluidity on the move, tail was carried quite low today, his skull was broader with a strong muzzle. Dark eyes and larger ears, couldn’t really examine him properly on this occasion as he sank into himself on the table. Shame.Res BD. PB 1 Hallings Wherrypoint Gloria. 8 mth old dark grey, certainly the most confident of the two, good size and shape which was kept on the move, feminine head of good length and bite, dark eyes giving a keen expression, medium sized ears, good puppy coat, short strong legs, good angles fore and aft, nicely muscled whilst retaining some femininity. Carried her tail outwards, in the class she was too interested in the smells on the floor, thankfully this was corrected in the challenge where her head was raised confidently. Happy to award Res BB and BP. Ccontinued to show well in the Puppy Group. 2 Goundry’s Komidion Symphoniques At Sarminija. At just 6 mths she was the real baby of the two. Gave her handler a hard time and wouldn’t move with any fluidity and co-ordination unfortunately, which made movement hard to assess. Didn’t appear to be nervous but carried her tail low in places, could see her general make and shape on the table thankfully, elbows were tight, evident rise over loin, sufficient muscletone, mouth ok with head of good length, neat sized ears, possessed plenty of puppy coat of good texture, would benefit to lose a bit of weight. JB 1 Rodgers & Duke’s Runiks Akreepa Of Dragons. What first struck me was, what a neat little package she was, such a lovely size, shape and type, her good silky coat coming through was well presented, good proportions with a good combo of strength and elegance, like her father she was born to be a show dog as she stepped out briskly with style and accuracy retaining her shape, my only gripe is that her tail isn’t carried outwards as you would expect from such a confident dog, as a dog not long out of pup she still has some maturing to do, strode out with more extra pazzazz than her mother even with a change of handler, which gained her BB. Congratulations. OB 1 Rodgers & Duke’s Placido Musical Miracle Of Runiks. Good honest bitch, who gave a more solid performance, another quite showy lady who had the better carriage of the two, good textured coat, well presented, admired her lack of exaggeration, her feminine head and neck, moved out well retaining her slight rise over the loin area, ribcage wasn’t too broad and deep so there was no mistaking her breed. 2 Richardson’s Talyot Kali. Such a shame she wasn’t entirely cooperative with her handler today as she is of lovely type and shape, coat is silky and well presented, movement was a touch staccato on the first go around, this did improve on individual assessment but not as fluid as the first place, nevertheless, she has lots to admire, her tight elbows, her body tone, super neck and feminine head of good length, would have liked her tail to be carried outwards and not so tucked under, even so, she didn’t appear nervous, which is a plus. I understand she hasn’t been regularly shown so I’m sure with regular competition her behaviour would improve greatly. Sharon Samson |
