CESKY MIDLAND COUNTIES 16

Cesky Terriers

I was positively surprised with the number of entries & delighted with the main winners, although quality, proportions & outlines in the overall entry were quite variable. Quite remarkably, all the main winners were bred by the same kennel.

PD (3)

1 Janski Phiosopher Dajaces, masculine dog, at this time more shapely than his competitors. Very attractive head with very good length, well set ears. At this time a bit leggy & needs to settle into his balance, especially behind. Excellent coat quality. Moved soundly coming & going;

2 Janski Quintavius, well proportioned darker dog, at this time not as leggy as the winner. Another with an attractive puppy head, but his ears are larger & lower set. Very moderate neck. Balanced angulation both ends. He has some arch of loin, but will need to gain some more with age. Not the coat quality of the winner, somewhat more wiry;

3 Janski’s Quentin.

JD (2)

1 Janski Promises Jones, 6 months old puppy with pleasing length of leg, but will need to cover some more ground when mature. His head & eyes are very expressive, even if his head is not yet fully developed. Strong neck, pleasing front. Acceptable arch of loin. Active & effective in movement. Correct, silky coat;

2 Grancek Radecek, somewhat leggy dog, but with pleasing length of body. Head with very good length, but at this age rather flighty ears. I would like his elbows closer to body both standing & moving & his feet closer knit. Rather dry in his coat. Moved well from the side.

PGD (2)

1 Janski Ossie Jones at Polede, a very typical Cesky, well proportioned & deep, he stands very well over his legs & feet & has an attractive outline. Powerful, masculine head with good length. Strong, well made front. Deep & capacious chest. Typical coat quality, if unusually light in his colour. He kept his outline on the move & moved soundly enough. RBD;

2 Gayteckels Bak In The Abbott Larger, upstanding dog, I would prefer him less leggy & deeper all through. Powerful skull, but pleasing length of head. Long neck. Not as firm nor as shapely as the winner in outline. Moved efficiently & with pride. Pleasing coat quality, but would prefer a more even colour.

OD (7,1)

1 Janski Ceskasson Blue Model A very typical dog with excellent proportions. Masculine head with very good length & chiseling. Perfect ears. Strong neck. Deep & capacious chest. Typical topline with good arch of loin. Strong, well muscled thighs. Excellent coat quality. He moved soundly & efficiently from all angles & kept his outline at all times. Best male & BOS.

2. Idefix Day Break at Gayteckels, an eyecatching masculine dog with quality & elegance, if a little too up on legs. Well proportioned, quality head, not the ears of the winner. Long neck. Lovely forechest. Attractive topline. Adequate coat quality. Moved with suppleness & energy;

3 Fr/Lux/Swiss/Int Ch Capatain Crochet du Champ d Eole.

PB (4)

1 Janski Pizzovski, 6 months old, very attractive bitch puppy, she has come a long way for her age. She stood particularly well over her legs & feet. Expressive, feminine head with excellent ears. Lovely neck, well set into shoulders. Well developed, deep & capacious body. She needs to gain some more arch over loin with maturity. Attractive coat. Already at such a young age, she moved particularly soundly. Definitely a star in the making. BP & RBB;

2 Euphoriastaff Celeste at Wherrypoint, refined, feminine bitch with bone on the fine side. Refined head, attractive ears. Pleasing neck. I would like more layback of upper arm, & she needs to develop more forechest with age. Quite attractive topline. Pleasing coat quality. She kept her balance & outline on the move, but needs to gain some more strength to her movement;

3 Gayteckels Bottoms Up.

JB (2)

1 Kessima Magic Moments, a big bitch, somewhat leggy, but definitely feminine. Rather defiant in character, but not at all afraid. Strong skull, good length of head. Long neck. Moderate, but balanced angulation both ends. She has a pleasing shape standing, but tends to lose some of her outline on the move, but is well co-ordinated & reasonably sound. Beautiful, well conditioned coat;

2 Janski Penelope, 6 months old bitch, not very mature in body or soul even for her age & needs to grow on a bit. Despite this, she has very good depth of chest. Not making the best of herself in the ring, lowering herself on the move. But at the time of writing this critique, all of a sudden she came alive & looked much better than before!

PGB (1)

1 Placido Barbarette, a quality, feminine bitch who was rather inconsistent in her willingness to show herself off, but when she did, she was attractive. Refined head, dark eyes, rather full. Pleasing neck & forechest. Elbows could be closer to body. Acceptable topline. Quite pleasing coat. At times she moved with pride & energy, at times she did not. Somewhat spotted in her colour.

OB (8,1)

1 Janski Ultra Violet, an unusually attractive Cesky. Truly a star, she has it all, the type, the proportions, the quality, the combination of strength with elegance & femininity. Beautiful head, excellent ears & expression. Standard book neck, outline & coat quality. To top it all she was the soundest mover of the day & very well presented. Simply outstanding. BB, BOB;

2 Lastarean Grace And Favour for Gayteckels, another well made bitch with excellent proportions. Strong skull for a bitch. Excellent forechest. Attractive topline & overall outline. Pleasing coat quality. She moved well from all angles, still not at well as the winner.

3 Vandell Sweet Song of Sametova.
