CESKY JUDGE CRUFTS 13

Cesky Terriers

I enjoyed judging this very good entry & found the breed to be in pretty good shape. Type is still very mixed with some rather bulky ones. Toplines varied, although all had at least some rise. Tails were a bit of a problem. Mouths still have an issue with missing incisors, which played a part in my placings, some with two missing.

Presentation was almost impossible to take account of, they should not be clipped almost to the skin on the back & side then straight into big skirts. Only a few had left some hair & tried to blend. On the whole coat texture good, but a few with harsh hair.

The breed seems in enthusiastic hands & hopefully will continue to progress.

VD (5)

1 Marett’s Lastarean Kral of Zidout, super dog to start, moves to well & with correct tail carriage. Masculine head, well set ears, elegant neck, well laid shoulder, correct topline, high hocks & shortish second thigh. Well presented. RBD;

2 Lewis’ Komidion Fanfare Dajaces, oblong dog, a bit too flat in topline. Pleasing head, better front legs than 3. Ears too big. Fair neck, correct ribs, very good rear;

3 Brown’s Lastarean Dufek, pleasing outline, coat is over clipped & too much of a demarcation. Pleasing head, eyes & ears, elegant neck, correct topline, good rear. Untidy in front.

1 Tobijanski’s Janski Ceskasson Blue Moon, free moving, topline is better on the move than stood. Would prefer better tail carriage. Balanced head, elegant neck, fair front. Elbows a bit loose. Well ribbed, super rear.

1 Forbes’ Blackthorpe River Musk at Lastarean, lovely outline, best topline in class, masculine head, ears OK, super neck, good shoulder, well ribbed, lengthy loin. Tail a tad high set but carried well. Good mover;

2 Grant’s Grancek Modre Mesice, sound, fairly good topline & well carried tail, masculine head, lengthy neck. Just a bit thick for elegance. Well rounded ribs, fair rear;

3 Lewis’ Komidion Nickelodeon avec Dajaces, very masculine, top size, pleasing head, good neck. Topline a bit flat. Nice front legs & feet, sound mover.

1 Withers’ Fr/Lux/Sw/Int Ch Captain Crochet Du Champ D’Eole, super for size & type, such a very good mover, masculine head, super eyes, neck OK, very well made front, correct topline & tail carriage, well ribbed & lengthy loin, super rear. BOB;

2 Taylor’s Polede Lforluka, liked his outline & proportions very much, masculine head. Teeth would benefit from a clean. Super neck. Not front of 1. Good topline, well carried tail;

3 Kear’s Vandell Sweet Music, sound, just a bit bigger & heavier for type. Oblong outline, strong, masculine head, fair topline, OK rear.

GCD (3)

1 L Kral of Zidout;

2 B River Musk at L;

3 Fraser’s Grancek Nezbedny Nornik, typy dog. Would prefer a better tail carriage. Nice head balance, lengthy neck. Bit loose in front.

1 Withers’ Hello Dolly De Champ D’Eole, very much a baby but full of promise. Very good type, lovely head, good neck, correct front, particularly good legs, correct rib & topline, well made rear. Tail a bit high still;

2 Tobijanski’s Janski Ultra Violet, nice proportions, tail is even higher, coat could blend in more. Very good head, right for stop. Not quite topline of 1. Well made rear, promising.

PGB (5)

1 Burrage’s Komidion Night Music at Sametova, very good outline, typical topline, pleasing head, elegant neck, well laid shoulder, correct rib & loin, well made rear, moved & showed so well;
