CESKY JUDGE BATH 09

Cesky Terriers

I enjoyed judging the breed for the first time &, as ever, it was a learning curve to get my hands on so many examples of the breed. Above all I tried to find the correct shape in my winners. I was pleased in general with the hind movement in the breed & some were good at both ends.

I thought the BOB winner a very good representative & such a good mover. My top junior bitches gave me a dilemma – different in balance, both with quality – & this was the decision which occupied me on the way home.

JD

1 Pendevour Pascal, correct balance, typical topline. Tail carriage a little high. Good head proportions & elegant neck, sound. Can develop a little more in chest but he is young. I liked his shape & balance & this took him to BD;

2 Duffy Du Champ D’eole avec Polede, very good headed dog. A little long & flat the moment. Maturity in body may balance him up. Active free mover.

PGD

1 Rossau Poet, good size & balance. Skull a little strong & ears could be neater. Good ribcage, coat texture could be better, elegant neck & shows some arch on the loin. OD 1 Lastarean Kral of Zidout, 5 years, good moving dog, good body, legs & chest. Too heavy in skull, long foreface. Good coat texture. I preferred the head & topline of Junior winner. RBD;

2 Polede Lforluka, much preferred his head but he was unsettled on the move & dipping in topline. Has a lot of type but needs to gain confidence.

JB

My hardest decision of the day.

1 Janski Martyna with Zippor, small, shapely & elegant, of correct shape & body proportions. Would like a little more length of head & neater ears. Excellent mover, holding topline, excellent coat texture & colour. RBB;

2 Pendeavour Pheeltherhythm, lovely headed bitch, good mover. I thought her a little long for balance at the moment but I was torn between these two as I preferred her head & leg length. With maturity will make a lovely bitch. 1 was more collected on the move but I liked her immensely;

3 Samtova Anglique at Ashleyheath.

PGB

1 Davcar Rabble Rouser at Ashleyheath, small feminine bitch of good coat & colour, good skull & ears, balanced foreface, carries herself well. Could have a little more rise over loin. Good rear action. Could be a little better in front;

2 Woodstrode Elba of Kohima, heavier stamp of bitch, good bone & ribcage. Front could be better. Good rear action.

OB

1 Gayteckels Highflyer, 10 years, lovely bitch, fitting the Standard well, well constructed giving good stride at both ends holding correct topline, coat of correct texture. Looked a picture of breed type. BOB;

2 Woodstrode Cesmina, 5 years, excellent type & very good proportions & topline. I would prefer her a little more feminine in head & the winner scored here & in eye colour.
