CAIRN JUDGE WINDSOR 09

Cairn Terriers

I was delighted with my entry of happy charming willing dogs. We were all so grateful for the cool shade of the spacious in-and-out tenting where we moved part way through the bitches when the temperatures climbed during the afternoon.

PD (3,1a)

1 Shopland’s Cherrycrack Blackadder, charming gr/br, good for size & type, level topline, well shaped tail, good angulation of shoulder & hind leg, excellent mouth, large teeth, good mover, went with a spring in his stride making light of the rising heat. Very mature for his 8 months, scored on balance. BP;

2 Keeves’ Seveek Dare Devil, red, good head, small ears, lovely expression when he tried. Seemed to be feeling the heat & not as cooperative as he might have been to start with but cheered up enough to move steadily.

JD (2)

1 Morley’s Kedvaiy Locomotion, red, slightly larger but well shaped masculine head, dark eyes & pigment, bright alert expression, small ears, good length of neck & well laid shoulder, an obviously determined character, very steady on the move;

2 Kinchin’s Tyreece’s Tricks, gr/br, harsh jacket, good topline & shoulders, moved well. Just a little longer cast than 1.

LD (2)

1 Keeves’ Maximal Between Dreams with Seveek, well balanced, alert wheaten/br. Not in full coat but what he had was of good harsh texture. Darkest of expressive eyes, strong thick pads, very sound, brisk & energetic on the move, good length of stride in profile driving from behind. A happy showman with good topline, well set & carried tail. RBD;

2 Lynch’s Fieldron Call My Bluff at Linacrelads, wheaten, slightly shorter in muzzle, charming expression in his dark eyes, short well shaped tail, in excellent harsh double coat.

OD (1)

1 Brown’s Cruzo Gold Charmer, aptly named & a charmer indeed is this workmanlike wheaten with dark points. Beautiful head, eye & expression, so good for size, type & balance, well made all through, good layback of shoulder & decent hindleg, good mouth & well set tail, in excellent harsh double coat, level topline, very free & true on the move. I gather that both he & the Limit winner are both sired by Ch Billy Fury who is obviously stamping his type. BD.

PB (4,1)

1 Short’s Glenchess Wings Of Gold, longer cast light red who scored on shoulder & front movement. Keen energetic showgirl, in good harsh double coat, darkest of eyes & good pigment, moved extremely well;

2 McIntyre’s Glenchess Chloe, silver/br, charming expression in her dark eyes, in splendid harsh double coat, well set & carried tail, steady mover;

3 Keeves’ Seveek Willows Dream.

JB (3)

1 Fyfe’s Andrum Peace Treaty, very feminine wheaten, dark eyes & pigment contrasting sharply against her harsh pale coat. Smart & well balanced, in hard muscular condition, moved & showed beautifully, scoring on her good layback of shoulder;

2 Confue’s Anjofra Welcome To La La Land, well balanced red, in hard muscular condition, most attractive youngster of excellent size & type, good length of neck, lovely head & eye, bright intelligent expression, in the hardest of muscular condition;

3 Dolan’s Glenrood Warrior Princess.

PGB (6,3)

1 Dolan’s Glenrood Mystic Topaz, well balanced wheaten/br, an easy winner here with a charming small feminine head, bright alert expression, small well carried ears, in harsh double coat, good topline, well made all through, scored on shoulder, this being mirrored in the excellence of her movement with good length of stride in profile, in harsh double coat, full of herself & her own importance. Only beaten by what proved to be her half sister, both by Multi Ch Top Gun. It was good to be reminded that I had placed her PG1 when she was just 6 months & a day at Chesham last year & to see that she is obviously fulfilling that early promise. On maturity went RBB;

2 Day’s Trekhilli Piccallilli, most attractive dark brindle, dark expressive eyes, good topline, decent coat & well set & carried tail, good for size, type & balance;

3 Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka. OB (6,3)

1 Dolan’s Glenrood Forever Topps, super wheaten, non-stop wagging tail, so very mature & ultra typical, excellent make, shape, size & type, firm body, harsh jacket & good layback of shoulder where she scored. Lovely head & eye, well balanced, so sound & brisk on the move. Inclined to hide her light under the proverbial bushel as she would insist on clamping her ears back when moving but when she uses them properly it is as if the sun has come out, proving that she has the most charming, alert expression. BB & BOB;

2 Short’s Glenchess Cut The Mustard, impressive red showgirl, dark eyes & pigment, bright intelligent expression, harsh if not the fullest of coat, very energetic on the move;

3 Keeves’ Maxiveek The Magic of Dreams.
