CAIRN SKC AUGUST 12 Judge(s): MR J LUSCOTT Cairn Terriers MPD (3) 1 Catto’s Birselaw The Thrill Of It All, smart young boy with the balance in overall action, good head, chest, body & tail. Alert & going well to win the class, most promising pup; 2 Miller’s Cornton Coulter, good in overall balance, nice coat coming through, good size, appealing head, development in body but not quite the finish of 1 yet. Has the action & attitude. PD (1) 1 Pearson’s Cloverbrook Special Effect, loved the head with the expressive eye & ear, good front. Not quite shoulder angles yet. Excellent coat texture, balanced, alert with plenty of oomph. Moves well behind. JD (1) 1 Catto’s Birselaw Bobby Darin, smart boy with the eye & earset, good over topline, front & rear action. Good balance & the coat. Still some filling to do in body but moves to please. YD (3) 1 Percy’s Winetta Stand And Deliver, typical head & earset, keen eye & good jaw, well balanced overall, smart outline & shape. OK in chest, body & coat, nice tailset, moved with action; 2 Byrne & Inett’s Carradine Brian The Lion, slightly longer overall but with the head, ear, expression & attitude. Good front & neck, nice body type, moving easily. More to come in promise from this lad; 3 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There And Back Again. PGD (3) 1 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable, good head type with the skull, eye & ear, nice quarters, good topline. Not quite the shoulder angles but balanced with the coat & a great attitude. Good rear & action; 2 Fortune’s Eglish Spitting Image with Essdeeeff, overall pleasing in type. Not quite the head of 1 but good balance with the style. Good body, rib & topline, good coat cover with furnishings to come. Goes well on the move but would like a little more attitude; 3 Gunn’s Birselaw Ice Dancer at Orkneyviking. LD (5) 1 Fortune’s Eglish Willies Wee Man with Essdeeeff, typical head coming through, won on body, front, eye, coat & action. Well muscled quarters, rib length & tail. Has the movement front, rear & side action, going well in the challenge; 2 Warne’s Spirebrooke Dawn Raider, alert & alive in head when he pulls himself up. Good through neck, body & front, moves easily when he wants to over the ground. More work to come here; 3 Buchan’s Auchinkyle Superman Stan at Drayem. OD (3) 1 Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Codebreaker, loved the typical head & earset with balance & shape. Alert & lively attitude, good coat, topline, rib & muscletone. Strong rearquarters, moves with the style & action, well handled. CC & BOB; 2 Inett & Bambridge’s Ch Carradines Crackaway Jack, good type with the head, skull, eye, ear & strong jaw, well balanced, good profile. Not quite topline of 1 but has the body & moved to please. RCC; 3 Smith’s Ch Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle. MPB (1) 1 Yates & Johnson’s Pendley Hester, quality & most promising puppy, great aspects in head, neck, eye & earset. Smart through front & body growth so far. Holds tail well, strong rear & moves with the style & balance required. Should have a great future. BP. PB (0). JB (4) 1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Hearsay, impressive youngster with the head, attracts in eye & ears, good front, body & shape, good tailset & carriage. Growing in body, rib & muscletone, moves well with the side gait to win the class; 2 Catto’s Birselaw Give Me A Break, smart girl, lovely head, balance & shape, good neck, body development, has the presence & attitude. Moves easily & holds herself well to challenge hard for the decision here; 3 Berrecloth’s Sybster Scarasta. YB (3) 1 Miller’s Cornton Diabaig, lively girl with the head & ears, good through chest & over topline. Strong rearquarters with shape & style, good outline & moved well, good coat & finish; 2 Kinchin’s Carradine Ruby Tuesday at Pennidazzle, pleasing overall in outline although a little longer. Good coat & furnishings, good type in head, moves with the right action & drive at the rear; 3 Shearer’s Orkneyviking Islay. PGB (2) 1 Ballinger’s Carradine Minnie The Moocha, close competition between these two exciting girls. On her toes with the head & shape, alert ear & eye expression, good balance in outline & profile, good quarters, top & body. Won the class on the move; 2 Miller’s Cornton Reay, good example, width in skull, eye & jaw. Has the shape, body & coat, muscletone & attitude. Nice on the move, accurate front & rear but not quite the sparkle on side gait in reach & drive. LB (6) 1 Inett’s Carradine Come On Irene, smart & typical in head, good stamp. I liked the outline, body & style. Has the neck, topline, chest & good coat cover, strong in muscle on rearquarters which enhances her positive movement. Considered in the challenge; 2 Yates & Johnson’s Pendley Playaway, close up, impressive with her balance, outline & overall shape, good width in head, alert ear & attitude, great over topline, quarters & tailset. Moves to cover the ground with good propulsion, coat of good consistency to finish picture; 3 Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel at Spirebrooke. OB (4) 1 Shaw’s Honeyhall High N Dry, active, quality lady, great attitude, balanced head, ear & eyeset, strong jaw & teeth set. Well built in body, rib, topline & tailset. Moved with the free flowing stride & accurate front & rear. Good coat & furnishings gave her the finish. CC; 2 Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Xtrafactor, close to 1 in type, head & body shape. Has the attitude, alive & agile, good front, chest & topline, muscled rear & going with the action. Not quite style of 1 in the end but worked for the RCC; 3 Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka. JEFF LUSCOTT |
