The weather was kind keeping the rain off until after judging. What can I say that hasn’t already been said in earlier critiques?. I found some heads lacking expression and some with protruding round eyes which are incorrect. Front movement was on the whole ok however hind movement is not good in many exhibits, with one back leg turning in and lack of muscletone needing to be highlighted. It is easy to see how your dogs move behind by letting them move in front of you on the lead, front movement not so easy, get someone else to move them. ********** I am not one to say –“ have seen this dog moving better”, or “ have always liked from the ringside”. I judged as I saw and found them on the day. MPD 3(2) 1. Felters & Rumens Landbuck Para Handy – just six months dark brindle, head has correct proportions, big teeth, correct bite, very well made typey puppy, good quality coat, he had great fun in the ring just as a six month old should, I loved him and predict a great future. BP PD 2(1) 2. Lamb & Saltmarsh Renshaw There and Back Again 11 months red brindle, typical head and good mouth, clean neck and shoulders, his tail not quite set on correctly and rather short in the back for me, movement ok going but coming he looks slightly out at elbow but this could be coat – I would like a little more of him all over. JD 1 1. Peers Tweedisle Sea Scout Wheaten brindle in good coat, lovely head and expression with neat well placed ears, correct shoulders and level topline, moved enough to assess but he didn’t settle, his tail is profuse, a little less hair would improve his outline. Nice dog PGD 2 1. Liftons Liffycairn Come On u Irons red brindle, good head with neat ears, neck and shoulders ok, balanced and very well muscled in good hard condition moved out well but coming is wide in front 2. Lamb & Saltmarsh Birselaw Fable grey brindle, well up to size, good head, shoulders ok short of neck, moved well but he is very proud of his tail and this decided the placing LD 6 First impressions this could have been an exciting class but movement was the deciding factor, some who looked stunning standing didn’t move well today I know the ground was uneven but they had lots of chances to show me they could move correctly. 1. Confues Anjofra I’m Not Going grey brindle, very good head and expression, he is made correctly and moves correctly in front, going he is ok, just not driving out, he needs time to mature and fill out his frame, not co-operating with his handler. 2. Shannon & Storr Brendacy Trouble At Mill – more mature than 1, a lovely dog to go over put down to perfection, moved well and stronger in the rear than 1 but just preferred Not Going’s head. OD 4 1. Shorts Glenchess All In the Stars – mature and in his prime, wonderful expressive eye and correct head, strong jaw, good neck & shoulders standing well forward over plenty of forechest, good tight feet, topline and tailset ok, excels in movement covering the ground with ease, in very good coat deserved the CC which makes him up. 2. Felters & Rumens Landbuck Tillisch red in full coat, wonderful head and expression, correct bite with large teeth, good neck and shoulders level topline, standing true, well muscled and in hard condition moved true, a very worthy champion just lacked sparkle today and I only had 1 CC -RCC VB no entries MPB 1(1) 1 Shannon & Storr Brendarcy Snedronnigen – just 9 months very pretty wheaten, most appealing head,, good mouth neat ears, good neck & shoulders, level topline & tailset, sturdy puppy who moved well when she settled, hope she grows on a little – loved her (must google her name) 2. Smiths Elmcairn Pearl, gave her handler a really hard time , lovely head and good mouth, rangy pup who will take time to mature, very hard to assess her movement. JB 6 Very strong class 1. Waugh & Carlton Smiths Tribannon Guardian Angel despite her handler doing her best to hide I managed to find her, red brindle, lovely feminine head with correct expression, excellent mouth, excels in neck and shoulder, in hard condition with firm muscletone she stands and moves absolutely true when allowed, lovely bitch 2. Thompsons Castleline Peggy Sue – just out of puppy, sweet head, keen expression she has great ring presence and moves correctly, coat coming which will complete the picture, another lovely bitch PGB 8(1) 1. Oldales Tweslam Dawn Chorus at Cranae red, good head and correct eye, needs more furnishing, good neck and shoulders, excellent muscle and in hard condition, moves with ease and covers the ground well, when standing she sometimes loses her topline , not an easy bitch to show but very nice 2. Hewitts Littleacorn Keep In Touch – very feminine wheaten brindle, lovely head keen expression, correct neck and shoulders, dead level topline, tailset ok, she looked lovely but couldn’t match movement of 1 today LB 5(1) 1. Dolans Glenrood Masquerade – I lost my heart to this bitch, wheaten brindle, beautiful head, keen expression, strong jaw, big teeth, very good neck & shoulders, dead level topline, stands true, moves with ease, coat at its best and put down to perfection, she is a great showgirl, lovely bitch CC BOB 2. McIntyres Glenchess Chloe Grey brindle, very well made bitch, lovely head and eye, standing correctly good forechest, in good hard condition and moves with ease, not easy to show as she loses concentration but sensitively handled to win RCC turned out to perfection, she looked lovely nice girl OB 2 1. Osbornes Tweslam Maid By Magic JW – red, typical head and keen expression, large teeth, standing well forward over plenty of forechest, topline & tailset ok, moved out & back true impatient in the challenge and unlucky to meet Masquerade and Chloe on top form, her time will come. 2. I would like to thank the committee of Richmond for inviting me to judge and my two stewards for their help. The weather was kind keeping the rain off until after judging. What can I say that hasn’t already been said in earlier critiques?.

I found some heads lacking expression and some with protruding round eyes which are incorrect. Front movement was on the whole ok however hind movement is not good in many exhibits, with one back leg turning in and lack of muscletone needing to be highlighted. It is easy to see how your dogs move behind by letting them move in front of you on the lead, front movement not so easy, get someone else to move them.

********** I am not one to say –“ have seen this dog moving better”, or “ have always liked from the ringside”. I judged as I saw and found them on the day.

MPD 3(2)

1. Felters & Rumens Landbuck Para Handy – just six months dark brindle, head has correct proportions, big teeth, correct bite, very well made typey puppy, good quality coat, he had great fun in the ring just as a six month old should, I loved him and predict a great future. BP

PD 2(1)

2. Lamb & Saltmarsh Renshaw There and Back Again 11 months red brindle, typical head and good mouth, clean neck and shoulders, his tail not quite set on correctly and rather short in the back for me, movement ok going but coming he looks slightly out at elbow but this could be coat – I would like a little more of him all over.

1. Peers Tweedisle Sea Scout Wheaten brindle in good coat, lovely head and expression with neat well placed ears, correct shoulders and level topline, moved enough to assess but he didn’t settle, his tail is profuse, a little less hair would improve his outline. Nice dog

LD 6

First impressions this could have been an exciting class but movement was the deciding factor, some who looked stunning standing didn’t move well today I know the ground was uneven but they had lots of chances to show me they could move correctly.

1. Confues Anjofra I’m Not Going grey brindle, very good head and expression, he is made correctly and moves correctly in front, going he is ok, just not driving out, he needs time to mature and fill out his frame, not co-operating with his handler.

2. Shannon & Storr Brendacy Trouble At Mill – more mature than 1, a lovely dog to go over put down to perfection, moved well and stronger in the rear than 1 but just preferred Not Going’s head.

OD 4

1. Shorts Glenchess All In the Stars – mature and in his prime, wonderful expressive eye and correct head, strong jaw, good neck & shoulders standing well forward over plenty of forechest, good tight feet, topline and tailset ok, excels in movement covering the ground with ease, in very good coat deserved the CC which makes him up.

2. Felters & Rumens Landbuck Tillisch red in full coat, wonderful head and expression, correct bite with large teeth, good neck and shoulders level topline, standing true, well muscled and in hard condition moved true, a very worthy champion just lacked sparkle today and I only had 1 CC -RCC

1 Shannon & Storr Brendarcy Snedronnigen – just 9 months very pretty wheaten, most appealing head,, good mouth neat ears, good neck & shoulders, level topline & tailset, sturdy puppy who moved well when she settled, hope she grows on a little – loved her (must google her name)

2. Smiths Elmcairn Pearl, gave her handler a really hard time , lovely head and good mouth, rangy pup who will take time to mature, very hard to assess her movement.

Very strong class

1. Waugh & Carlton Smiths Tribannon Guardian Angel despite her handler doing her best to hide I managed to find her, red brindle, lovely feminine head with correct expression, excellent mouth, excels in neck and shoulder, in hard condition with firm muscletone she stands and moves absolutely true when allowed, lovely bitch

2. Thompsons Castleline Peggy Sue – just out of puppy, sweet head, keen expression she has great ring presence and moves correctly, coat coming which will complete the picture, another lovely bitch

2. McIntyres Glenchess Chloe Grey brindle, very well made bitch, lovely head and eye, standing correctly good forechest, in good hard condition and moves with ease, not easy to show as she loses concentration but sensitively handled to win RCC turned out to perfection, she looked lovely nice girl
