CAIRN EAST OF ENGLAND 11 Judge(s) MRS J M MILLER BD CARRADINES CRACKAWAY JACK (MISS D H & MRS P INETT & BAMBRIDGE) Cairns It was very nice to be asked to judge some of the terrier breeds without CCs. Unfortunately we ended up going into the ring very late & made judging feel a little hectic & it was certainly disappointing to try & rush through 4 breeds to get each of the breeds’ BOBs into the group ring. It was with regret that I could not get all into the group even though I had requested a ring change. However, it was lovely to hear that my Dandie BOB did in fact win the group & my Cairn BOB was shortlisted. 1 Yates & Johnson’s Pendley Playaway, very attractive bitch just into junior, super head well furnished, nice balance & shape with very dark alert eyes hidden slightly within the furnishings, strong neck to shoulder into level back, nice furnished tail & carriage, well sprung ribs in deep body, super cream double harsh coat, nice forechest & strong hindquarters with nice stifle, good reach in front & strong sound movement behind; 2 Keeves’ Seevek Who Dares Wins, slightly older & very much the male, super head shape & alert expression head well covered & presented, strong neck, clean shoulders & firm level towline to tail well set & gaily carried, strong balanced body with ribs well sprung & covered in harsh double wheaten jacket, nice legs & feet well padded, moved out well & soundly; 3 Smith’s Glenmear Sproxton Lass. PG (9) 1 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Time To Shine, loved the well furnished head with dark mask to muzzle, good size & shape with dark expressive eyes & small pricked ears, firm back over balanced body, well sprung deep ribs, nice loin all covered in harsh well presented coat, good forechest & neat well boned legs & tight well padded feet, strong well muscled hindquarters, really positive mover & very sound with good stride nicely carried happy tail; 2 Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel at Spirebrooke, very sweet cream bitch with feminine well balanced head, strong skull & jaw, well furnished with bright alert expression from dark eyes, strength of neck & clean shoulders into firm topline & well set & furnished tail, well presented harsh coat over body of depth & with ribs well sprung, excellent front & rear, neat legs & padded feet, moved out really well; 3 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable.
