CAIRN EAST OF ENGLAND 09 Judge(s) MR R MUNDAY BD NONCOM INETT TU WINNIT WITH CARRADINE JW (MRS R A & MISS D H HARRISON & INETT) Cairn Terriers I was very pleased with the entry with some lovely exhibits to go over. Quite a few promising youngsters & some top quality in the upper classes. Temperaments were all good. Movement was a little difficult to assess as although the ground looked OK it was riddled with small pot holes which many of our little breed managed to find & trip over. Teeth were generally good with only one or two exceptions. There were a number of exhibits who were a little on the heavy side which not only detracted from their outline but also affected their movement. Coats were varied & a few were either in very short coat or had shed their undercoats. PD (2,1a) 1 Soper’s Elitecharm Dream Boy, nice wheaten of 81/2 months, nice expression, stood well forward showing lovely outline, smooth transition from neck into topline, good depth of rib, well muscled. BP. JD (2,1) 1 Bennett’s Maximal Tinkers Moon, lovely head with varmint expression, good outline. Needs a bit more time to mature. PGD (1) 1 Purvis’ Mosspur Licensed To Thrill, cream, quite well proportioned, showed well. Was a little heavy. LD (2) 1 Keeves’ Maximal Between Dreams with Seveek, lovely unexaggerated dog, endearing head & expression, good shoulders running into level topline, great proportions. Needs coat to finish the picture; 2 Lynch’s Fieldron Call My Bluff at Linacrelads, another nice dog but carrying too much weight. OD (2) 1 Harrison & Inett’s Noncom Inett Tu Winnit with Carradine, quality dog, excellent outline, masculine head, good neck into clean shoulders, level topline, in good coat & condition, moved with drive. BOB & G4; 2 Middlehurst’s Zalazar Un Zipped at Starveren, gorgeous red in tip top condition. Different type to 1. Lovely head & expression, good angulation, maintained topline on the move, covered the ground with ease. Pushed 1 all the way, very close decision. RBD. PB (5,1) 1 Soper’s Elitecharm Brindled Beauty, lovely wheaten/br, currently lacking in head furnishings but still has a good head & feminine expression, good balanced outline which she maintained on the move, promising; 2 Wait’s Svendalens Crazy Diamond, wheaten/br, lovely outline but just carrying a bit too much weight so losing her waist & not as animated as 1; 3 Keeves’ Seveek Willows Dreams. JB (1) 1 Clarke’s Lentrica Who’s The Daddy, lovely feminine balanced bitch, not big but well proportioned, endearing head & expression, good angulation, good on the move, very classy. Coat needs to come in to complete the picture. PGB (5,2) 1 Bennett’s Maxiveek Magic Moments, wheaten, nice outline & proportioned well, good topline & tailset; 2 Soaper’s Elitecharm Only Girl, pretty wheaten with desirable dark points. Needs a bit more coat & to mature a bit; 3 Burgin’s Noncom Lucky Locket. LB (2) 1 Burgin’s Noncom Miss Hat He Chewed, wheaten/br with dark points which so sets her head & expression off, nice outline, feminine head, well muscled, moved out well, showed all the time; 2 Waite’s Svendalens Lucky In Love, gorgeous head, topline fine on the move. Preferred proportions of 1. OB (3,1) Superb class. 1 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Magic Star, dark brindle, in excellent coat & condition, nicely constructed, super outline, moved with animation, showed non- stop.BB; 2 Clarke’s Conundrum Sweeter For Me for Lentrica, another quality bitch, gorgeous head & expression, good proportions, topline & tailset good. A little heavier than I would have liked to have seen & coat not at its best, even so there was lots to like. RBB. RAY MUNDAY
