CAIRN JUDGE DRIFFIELD 21

VD (2, 1)

1 Lamb, Saltmarsh & Renshaw’s There And Back Again Under Macmoon ShCM. Best Veteran. Lovely, old boy. Excellent head and expression. Correct pigmentation. So well handled and moved accordingly. Still enjoying his days out.

SYD (2)

1 Purvis’ Mosspur Time And Again. Lovely Cairn, moved out well from correct shoulders. Well let down in hocks. Correct tail set on. Well balanced head and super expression. Well handled.

2 Bingham’s Carradine Bumbling Boris. Not so positive on the move today, super head and expression, well placed ears, well balanced length of body to height, correct feet.

LD (3)

1 Inett & Harrison’s Carradine In And Out Mr Sprout. CC and BOB. Dark brindle, in excellent coat and condition, a very impressive Cairn, both standing and on the move. Super breed type, but I wouldn’t want him any bigger. Excellent head. Superb expression, firm neck, correct shoulders, holding a good outline on the move and handled to perfection. Should make up easy. Loved him.

2 Dennis, Goddard & Waite’s Good Times Ahead With Oudenarde. Typical head, correct pigmentation, strong muzzle. Large perfect bite, well muscled in hindquarters, moved well in super jacket, well presented.

OD (5, 1)

1 Clarke & Jarvine’s Ch Dk Ch Fin Cairnster Mr Don Juan (Imp Dnk). RCC. Impressive dark brindle. Pleasing head, well placed ears, correct bite, good pigmentation, firm neck, well balanced body to hide, correct feet, carrying a little extra weight, but otherwise a very promising exhibit. Handled very well indeed.

2 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Kingsman. Correct head, ears and bite. Preferred his shoulders. Held a firm topline on the move. Correct jacket.

GCD (2, 1)

1 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Dark Charmer For Macmoon ShCM. Dark grizzle in super coat and condition. Lovely head, correct expression, large teeth, well placed ears, moved well and nicely handled.

PB (3, 1)

Two promising exhibits who I feel will change places over the years.

1 Purvis’ Springtime Rose. Best Puppy. The sweetest head and expression, good pigmentation, firm in shoulder, holding a firm outline on the move, good angulation, nicely handled.

2 Percy’s Winetta Frankly My Dear. Another super head with better placed ears, correct length of ribbing, ample bone, correct jacket, well presented

JB (4)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Doonrae Rebel Rebel Among Brenndarcy. RBCC. Another red girl, sweet expression, dark eye, lovely well placed ears. Holding a super outline on the move once settled. Will watch her development, as when she decides to move, she has good reach from correct shoulders and drive. Very similar to my BCC winner. I see they share similar breeding.

2 Lund & Long’s Lentrica Hocus Pocus By Jorvikairn. Another lovely headed Cairn. Correct bite, well placed ears, super outline. This exhibit has great promise. Handler not relaxed and this reflected in this exhibit’s movement.

SYB (1)

1 Hiam’s Carradine Dottie. Very pretty dark brindled with lovely head and expression, very promising. Held a good outline on the move. In super jacket. Excellent handling.

LB (1)

1 Firth, Firth & Firth’s Cairngold Chiquitita. BCC. Superb quality bitch in excellent coat and condition, red jacket, well presented. Balanced throughout. Her neck flowed into correct shoulders. Held a firm topline and excellent tail set. One of the very best movers of the day, quietly handled, a showgirl. Happy to award her the BCC. I am sure she will become a champion.

OB (4)

1 Kinton’s Cloverbrook Unbreakable At Woodthorpe. Upstanding dark bridnle with a lovely headpiece, perfect bite, well placed ears. Considered her for a higher award. Unfortunately in the challenge, she didn’t move quite so well. Good front, well sprung in ribbing.

2 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Jo. Another dark brindle with the most beautiful head and expression. Correct bite. Shown in perfect jacket. Would prefer a little more length of leg to complete the picture but I’m sure she will do very well. Didn’t move quite so well today.
