CAIRN DRIFFIELD 13 Judge: Dr Amy M Firth BEST OF BREED : 3887 FELTERS, Mr A & RUMENS Mr R A Landbuck Xanthe CAIRN JUDGE DRIFFIELD 13 MPD (3,1a) 1st: Percy's Winetta Sir Ivor Nicely balanced wheaten brindle, good head and mouth with correct bite. Needs to settle on the move but only young yet. 2nd: Newton's Marie's Moonraker With Strathinver Naf Taf Very immature red brindle, needs to develop overall, particularly in head. Very good mouth with lovely big teeth. Misbehaving today. PD (2,0a) JD (1,0a) Up to size junior, lovely balance with a nice flow of neck into clean shoulders. Level topline with correct tailset. Moved OK. Well presented and handled. YD (2,0a) Correctly sized bright red dog. Well balanced, a good honest dog, with a typical head & expression. Good depth of brisket. Presented really well in good condition. His day will come. Larger than winner, strong masculine dog, soundly made. Rear movement OK. Good head and correct mouth. Needed more coat off to present a cleaner outline. PGD No Entries Dark brindle, balanced, nicely sized. Typey with an attractive masculine head. Presented himself four square when standing. Put down to perfection and well handled, moved with drive. Another dark brindle who showed very well. Very good head, not quite so well balanced as winner and would prefer better length of neck. Might benefit from losing a pound. OD (4,0a) Soundly constructed dark brindle, standing well over his forepaws. Deep in chest, good straight front. Adequate bone. Excels in head. Nothing overdone, medium in all respects as it should be. An alert and assertive male. Typical Cairn temperament, it is an unfortunate mouse who crosses this terrier's path. DCC. Well presented cream with a very good flow and length of neck. beautiful head, good body. In good condition overall. Sound mover. Very attentive to handler, showed well. Close decision between 1 and 2. RDCC GCD (1,0a) Up to size dark brindle, a little too big for me. Good head, lovely temperament. Correct textured coat. Tail set a little proud. Showed well. MPB (4,1a) Cream with lovely dark mask. Very attractive Cairn puppy, so well balanced for one so young. Nothing I could fault at this stage. Showed like a veteran and moved true both ways. Wish she were mine. Very similar to winner, I liked her a lot. She had a lovely outline and was well presented. Didn't behave quite so well which made her front movement difficult to assess. PB No Entries JB (2,1a) Cream, so well balanced, nice size, not overdone in any way. Pretty bitch, sound and well built but not coarse in any way. Exceptional mouth, lovely head, good colour eye. Medium length of neck, carries head well. In good coat of correct texture, not overtrimmed. Good free flowing movement. Showed well. Breed standard in every way. BCC + BOB YB (1,0a) Up to size bright red who moved very soundly with drive. Mouth OK. In good coat of correct texture. PGB (2,1a) Up to size brindle with a lovely temperament. Good head, nice flow of neck. Carrying too much weight and needs tidying up. LB (4,1a) Clean wheaten, well balanced with a lovely expressive head. Good spring of rib. Level topline. Presented in tip top form. Rear movement very good, moved with plenty of drive. Showed and handled very well. RBCC 2nd: Percy's Winetta Miss Independant Dark red brindle of nice type and size. Not quite so well balanced as winner. Very sound front movement. Typical head and expression with good eye. Coat not at its best. OB (1,0a) Dark brindle with a lovely head and expression, good stop. Straight front, level topline, presented herself well. Typical Cairn temperament, very outgoing. Movement difficult to assess today. Showed well. GCB (1,0a)
