CAIRN BOURNEMOUTH 26 Judge: Miss S Richardson CAIRN JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 26 I was delighted to award my first set of CC's at this show, a favourite of mine and my thanks to the exhibitors for supporting me. I was very pleased with my main winners, and thought my BOB, the Open Bitch winner, did a great job in the group ring! I liked her overall shape, size, balance and especially her head proportions. I was very surprised by the amount of Cairns with short ribbing and/or long loins giving a length of body on a lot of them which is more akin to a Skye. I had a number with poor return of upper arm resulting in upright shoulders, feet at 10 to 2 and poor movement. I became very aware of a number of Cairns with round eyes and short muzzles. The shortness of muzzle gives a very different look to the dogs, one I am not a fan of. I am pleased to say temperaments I found to be good across the board, grooming was a bit hit and miss, though I was grateful for predominately no majorly dirty dogs! My thanks to the exhibitors for their consideration for me as their judge in that regard. PD (1,0) 1 Roger's Copseleaze Midnight - 9 month dark brindle male.
