Cairn Terriers

MPD (1)

1 Peers’ Tweedisle Lively Lad, very good example of a 7 months puppy, correct balance, coat texture excellent & very eyecatching light r/br colour. Particularly liked his rear movement, with some width between his hocks. Moved soundly & held his topline going round effortlessly. Very promising. Balanced head with super expression.

PD (0).

JD (2,1a)

1 Day’s Trekhilli Pepperazzi, dark brindle, well presented, well proportioned head with excellent eye & good neck, clean shoulders, level topline kept on the move. His tail could be shorter for balance, angulation correct.

PGD (4,1)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Tinsoldat, red with a gorgeous head with stop, skull & width to muzzle. He is sound but could put a little more into his showing. He is a good size & balance. Sound when moving, topline kept on the move, liked him & another day could go further;

2 Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecotage Silver Askin, rangier male whose coat was not in such good order today. Head of correct proportions, needs to mature. Good neck & shoulders, level topline, moderate angulation front & rear. Held topline on the move, had a correct tailset, preferred proportions of 1;

3 Smith’s Rocasovale Danish Delight.

LD (8,1)

1 Catto’s Birselaw Stay With Me, at last a dog made as the Standard calls for, with correctly laid back shoulder, good length to upper arm & a forechest. His angulation matches front & rear & allows him to move as the Standard dictates. Your hands flow over him, larger he may be but he is not coarse. He is presented with a coat of correct length & texture, a clean outline kept on the move, topline dead level with a good stride, is a joy to watch. Loved his intense expression, strong head with a good stop & a definite skull, with neat ears, correct eye colour, full muzzle correct dentition. CC;

2 Mears’ Glenmear McIntyre, r/br of smaller stature than 1. He has a very good head & expression. Another who feels good under hand. He could have more front angulation but he moved soundly. Coat in good order has two black stripes on hocks which create an illusion when moving away that he is close behind. Very sound sideways action when he got into his stride. RCC;

3 Keeves’ Seveek I Spied That Dream.

OD (4)

1 Hughes & Hooton’s Gyncairn Magical Mystery, wheaten male of very good balance & outline. Moved soundly especially in profile, keeping his topline on the move. Could have more front angulation, very good in rear, another who did not move closely with strong hocks, well muscled. Today his coat looked short on the back. Excellent head & expression;

2 Weinberger’s Correnie Hurricane Fly, loved his head & expression. Very good proportions, moved soundly especially in profile. Everything to like. Clean shoulders, level topline kept on the move, correct tailset. Well muscled. Top quality Cairn;

3 Percy’s Winetta Sir Ivor.

VD (3,2)

1 Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable of Macmoon, 8 years, certainly not showing his age. Very good balance & outline. Well angulated, kept topline on the move. Moved with drive a little close in rear. Head of good proportions with lovely expression. Coat of correct texture. BV.

MPB (1)

1 Soper’s Elitecharm Five Of Diamonds, wheaten of very good size & balance. Lots to like, expression good & head of correct proportions. Balanced angulation. Moved soundly, topline needs to firm up on the move.

PB (3,1)

1 Dolan’s Glenrood Dance To The Spell, at the moment quite small in stature but she certainly made up for this with her personality. Never stopped showing. Balance very good, moved very soundly, kept topline on the move & covered the ground very well. Head, good proportions with neat ears. Brindle coat of good texture & presentation;

2 Peers’ Tweedisle Bonnie Lassie, brindle girl with a good outline. Lovely head & expression, was not so happy moving today.

JB (6)

1 Petts’ Brenndarcy Hunky Dory among Doonrae, another who feels very good under the hand. Red with good head of excellent proportions, just managed to view the mouth of excellent sized teeth. Neck flowed into clean shoulders, level topline, good tailset. Moved steadily keeping outline, very good in profile;

2 Percy’s Winetta I’ve Got A Feeling, gr/br of more compact build. Very good head & expression. Coat in good order. Level topline, correct tailset. Moved well but not as steadily as the first. Could change places another day;

3 Dolan’s Glenrood Spell Dance.

PGB (4,2)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Cloudbursting, compact balanced bitch, everything to like, very nice head & expression, sound mover, coat well presented, well muscled & kept excellent outline when moving;

2 Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Fennel, rangier bitch, needs time to mature, coat a little soft & flat today. Moved soundly when she got going. Head has good balance, eye good colour & teeth excellent, neck flows into good shoulders, level topline.

LB (6,1)

1 Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Florey, gorgeous wheaten with a lovely outline, a rangy bitch who excels in make & shape. Lovely head with a wicked expression, head has correct proportions with good mouth & well placed ears. Neck flows into clean shoulders, spring of rib into short loin with well muscled hindquarters. Moved soundly, today she lacked coat round her muzzle to complete the picture;

2 Keeves’ Seveek Hopes ‘N’ Dreams, very classy light r/br with very good size & balance, very good head with a good stop & breadth to skull. Good angulation front & rear with a well set on tail. Moved soundly with very good profile action;

3 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Moonstruck.

OB (5)

This was the best class of the day.

1 Yates & Johnson’s Pendley Vivien, just what I was looking for. Medium throughout with the best of heads with a piercing mischievous expression. Good stop, width to skull, good fill in at the occipital arch. Medium neck into well laid clean shoulders. Good return of upper arm & a forechest. Well sprung rib into shot loin, level topline & correctly set tail that was not too long. Legs of a correct length for body depth. Well muscled in rear with a well let down hock. Coat in excellent order presented to perfection. Moved straight covering the ground with parallel stride. Today received her third CC & BOB;

2 Hughes & Hooton’s Gyncairn Believe In Magic, wheaten in very nice order, very well presented. Liked her size & balance. Moved soundly keeping her topline. Her head is of correct proportions. Medium neck into clean shoulders, with good spring of rib into short loin. Rear is well muscled with well let down hocks used on the move. Could have a little front angulation to complement rear. Showed all out today to come second in a strong class;

3 Clarke’s Ch Lentrica Dolly Daydream.

VB (3,1)

1 Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka, wheaten bitch with a coat in good order of extremely good texture. She certainly does not look 8 years. Good muscletone. She is a good size & balance, appealing expression with a dark eye & neat ears. Good rib into short loin, level topline held on the move. She tends to hold her head down when moving, would like a little more animation;

2 Usher’s Stryveling Polly Flinders, another 8 years carrying a little too much weight today. Lovely head & expression with a dark eye. Wheaten coat a little soft in texture. She moved soundly fore & aft & kept her topline when moving in profile.
