BULL MINIATURE JUDGE WELSH KC 12
Bull Terrier (Miniature)
Generally speaking a quality entry of more uniform size, my main concerns for the breed are mouths, especially inverted canines. Some exhibits stood and moved on the outside two toes of their forelegs yet had straight fronts- curious!
Puppy Dog 4 (2abs)
1. Bell’s Quayardson Sir Barclay at Darlou, 9 month chunky chap sound construction, moved and showed well
2. Hughes’ Graymor Gallantry, 7 month quality youngster, lovely head
very much a baby, just needs time to bulk up.
Junior Dog 2
1. Hughes’ Graymor Gattoni, white cobby dog with lovely sweep to head, moved with drive.
2. Presland & Vincent’s Kofyn Klick of the Light, 7 month pup looking rather rangy at present, would prefer better shoulders and shorter back.
Post Graduate Dog 1
1. Bennett & Pickering’s Quayardson Sir Alfred, impressive tri-colour dog with good head, lovely eye and expression, good mouth but hardly a miniature.
Limit Dog 4 (1 abs)
1. Shaw’s Badlesmere Beast Released, top quality solid brindle, good eye and expression, good head, sound construction, flowing lines, movement did not disappoint. CC & BOB
2. Blair’s Minino Del Cornijal at Megaville, white dog with short powerful head. Shoulders could be better, rather long cast and moved with tail carriage that did not please.
3. Manoli’s Belcanto Toreador heavyweight white good head, topline roached. Bold eye and inverted canine.
Open Dog 4
1. Harrison’s Jenkir Dawn quality black brindle/white well marked,
soundly made not overdone anywhere. Moved well but not the fun
loving attitude expected by the standard.
2. Presland & Vincent’s Ch & Ir Ch Badlesmere Brabazon In Kofyn another quality dog (white) who moved and showed well enough, a tad bold in eye and head profile could be better.
3. Dodwell’s Decadance Defender lovely headed tri-colour in good condition, moved well, just too much of him.
Puppy Bitch 6
1. Hughes’ Graymor Glacial Dawn 7 month white bitch of classic flowing lines, everything balanced, feminine with lovely front, good hind angulation. Moved as expected. Res CC Best Puppy
2. Shaw’s Badlesmere Bourre another quality white bitch puppy with lovely sweep to head, a shade longer cast than winner.
3. Plumley & Workman’s Nabulltique Holy Moley outstanding tri-colour bitch, lovely head, powerful filled, plenty of bone and substance yet still feminine, good hindquarters but a mouth that I just could not condone, such a pity.
Post Graduate Bitch 2 (1abs)
1. Peakin’s Graymor Galliano By Byzantine red/white quality bitch with
long elegant head. Moved well enough, good bend of stifle, would
have preferred a shorter back.
Limit Bitch 4 (1abs)
1. Wright’s Kofyn Kontessa von Hofstetter top quality femine bitch. Balanced throughout, classic lines moved with drive and showed without fuss or overhandling .CC
2. Shaw’s Badlesmere Bookworm, lovely sized brindle bitch, lovely head, topline not as tight as could be. Movement lacked drive.
3. Manoli’s Seaquest Ballykissangel heavyweight white bitch with good head but inverted canines.
Open Bitch 4 (2 abs)
1. Presland & Vincent’s Ch White Eyed and Legless in Kofyn ,chunky white bitch of nice size, good profile to head but excess flesh around neck spoilt her outline, moved and showed well.
2. Preddy’s Shacadia Sugar & Spice at Shacals brindle bitch of nice size. Good head but topline roached and did not engage hindquarters so lacked drive on the move.
