MINIATURE BULL JUDGE RICHMOND 22
Had a fantastic day judging miniature bull terriers at Richmond Championship
Show. It was difficult to make an effort not to watch any judging of the breed
leading up to my appointment, but I wanted to go in fresh. I was pleased to find
my Best of Breed in Marshallsay’s Risibully Girls On Film with Fergustaff who went on
to wing GROUP 4!!! Surprised to find out it was her 1st CC! Best Opposite Sex and a
crowning third CC went to Llewelyn’s Bullypins Kirlos. My RCCs went to Harper’s
Chattanoogo Choo Choo Aedestaurum and Phillips’ Rasels Bull Tracey of Bullyon.
My Best Puppy was Harper’s Olympusbulys Maia. It was a great honour to judge a
breed that I love so much! Thank you to everyone one who came on such an
auspicious day and the gracious and sporting way that everyone accepted the
results. And, thank you to my ring stewards, Jim, Nikki and Rita Sinclair for helping
the ring runs so smoothly.
PUPPY DOG
1. HARPER’S Olympusbulys Cronus – Powerful headed brindle & white puppy dog. Gentle
profile with exceptional fill and width, correct bite. Up on leg with steep shoulders. A
better lay of shoulders would shorten his back. Okay hind angulation with strong second
thigh. Moved true going, wide coming.
YEARLING DOG
1. MCGREGOR’S Merlindan Flashback – Black brindle & white dog with long head,
correct bite and enough fill. Short coupled, but would like better front and rear
angulations. Movement parallel coming and going. Smartly marked little dog. One in
consideration for the RCC.
POST GRADUATE DOG
1. WHITE’S AMiniRumpus Deejay By Design - Richly coloured red & white with long head,
correct incisors. For a more balanced picture, he needs to come up on leg. Out in front
and moved accordingly. Good bend of stifle, moved close behind but held a level top
line. Correct tail placement.
OPEN DOG
1. LLEWELLYN’S Bullypins Kirlos - Compact white dog with black eyepatch and ear.
Powerful head with enough turn, a perfect bite and small, well placed ears when he used
them. Abundance of bone and substance with strong, wide chest and straight front.
Moved parallel coming and going. Was pleased to award him his third CC. CC & BEST
OPPOSITE SEX
2. HARPER’S Chattanooba Choo Choo Aedestaurum - Solid red smut dog with long head,
very good fill, small wicked eyes, excellent expression, mouth just off. Lay of shoulders is
adequate, strong, well muscled hindquarters and well developed second thigh. Would
like a little more bone throughout. Movement okay. RCC
3. EMETT & CATALINA’S Dofro Little Drop of Poison.
PUPPY BITCH
1. HARPER’S Olympusbulys Maia - Pretty little white puppy bitch with eyepatch. Nice,
small size with perfect amount of substance. Head is long with gentle curve and a correct
bite. Shoulders are okay, excellent hind angulation. Movement parallel coming and going
with a level top line but had a tendency to hold her tail high on the move. Small, tidy feet.
BEST PUPPY
JUNIOR BITCH
1. MARSHALLSAY’S Risibully Girls On Film With Fergustaff - Beautiful, eye-catching tricolour.
Diminutive in size but full of character. Stunning head with power, completely filled up,
wide muzzle and small ears. Eyes a bit kind. Compactly built with excellent bone and
substance, adequate shoulders and excellent hind angulation. Moved parallel coming
and going. She was a perfect example of a Bull Terrier in miniature. A real beauty that I’m
sure her crown is not far away. CC & BEST OF BREED
2. BöRNER’S Bright Idea A Beautiful Mind - Brindle & white terrier type bitch. Long head,
mouth level, could use a little more fill. Up on leg. Excellent movement, parallel and with
drive from behind.
YEARLING BITCH
1. COVERDALE’S Abgar Mystique at Unionbul - Small, alert black brindle & white terrier
type bitch. Head long, but lacking in power and fill. Correct bite. Could use a better lay
back of shoulder, short coupled, roached topline, good bend of stifle.
2. HAKALA & KERSHAW’S Merlindan Funace - Substantial brindle & white with wide chest.
Head needed more turn and fill, mouth incorrect. Excellent hind quarters with strong
second thigh.
POST GRADUATE BITCH
1. WHITE’S AMiniRumpus Im Likkle Elle - Small brindle & white bitch with good substance.
Head turned with fill and correct bite. Eyes a bit kind. Short coupled with reasonable
shoulders and good stifles. Moved well coming and going. One in consideration for the
RCC.
2. ROWLAND’S Grandopera Diminimis - Small, terrier type brindle & white bitch. Nice turn
to the head but lacked power, fill and width. Correct bite. Ok shoulders, roached topline,
good hind angulation. Moved with drive.
OPEN BITCH
1. PHILLIPS’S Rasels Bull Tracey of Bullyon - Up on the leg brindle & white bitch.
Phenomenal, exaggerated head with turn, fill and power. Mouth incorrect. Overall, good
bone and substance but narrow throughout. Showy with ok body lines. Moved well. RCC
2. BöRNER’S Badlesmere Bright Idea - Large white bitch with good bone and substance.
Head turned with okay fill and correct teeth. A little plain. Adequate shoulders, strong
second thigh.
3. HARPER’S Aedestaurum Fancy Dress at Olympusbulys
