MINIATURE BULL MIDLAND COUNTIES 09 Judge(s) ZENA THORN-ANDREWS DCC CH/IR CH BADLESMERE BRABAZON IN KOFYN SHCM (MR M & MISS M PRESLAND & VINCENT) Miniature Bull Terriers PD (1) 1 Neams & HIggott’s Badlesmere Bering Express, nice puppy, very true & precise moving with so much power for his age. Good head & length of foreface, neat thin ears, correct width across the chest & well ribbed back to firm loin, good quarters & drive from rear. Overall I thought he should easily make up when fully mature. JD (3,1a) 1 Monaghan’s Debully Enter Sandman, good dog, pleasing sound & jaunty mover, good length of head & sweep of downface. Underjaw could be a little stronger but perfect bite. A bit on the big side perhaps. Super topline, excellent quarters & bend of stifle, neat hocks, well boned legs & tight feet. He does turn his front feet in a touch. Shows well; 2 Withheld. PGD (3,1) 1 Cockayne’s Otherton Look At You at Saredon, quality dog right through, good head, fill in & profile, well set in dark eyes, neat ears, nicely arched neck, good strong topline, sound legs & tight feet, nicely balanced for height to length proportions & moves very well all round; 2 Cartwright’s Badlesmere Buzzin’ Boycie, he would pace now & then. I loved his temperament, super head & strength of foreface. A bit straighter in shoulders than winner but very well muscled & coat in great condition. Good width across the chest & excellent ribbing. LD 1 Withdrew, wouldn’t move. OD (5) 1 Presland & Vincent’s Ch/Ir Ch Badlesmere Brabazon in Kofyn, certainly hasplenty of substance but would prefer more of a waist! I admired his strength & length of head, good downface & Roman finish, good depth & width of chest, ribs carried well back, powerful impressive quarters, carries himself well with a true Bull Terrier swagger, in good coat & muscular condition, moved the best of the boys but not quite up to his lovely daughter. CC; 2 Cox’s Ch/Ir Ch Transcend Racing Sash, had a better waistline & perfect tuck up but not quite the downface & fill in of winner’s head. Lovely small, dark triangular eyes, neat ears, good bone, body & topline, great quarters. A mite straight in shoulders. Well muscled & in good coat. RCC; 3 Vickers’ Duvessa Red Cloud. PB (6,3) 1 Presland & Vincent’s White Eyed And Legless in Kofyn, lovely bitch puppy, full of quality & breed type, I thought her head exquisite, small dark eyes set well in, well filled in below the eyes, good downface & finish, strongly arched neck, sound front, round bone & tight feet. Owner mustn’t let her get any fatter as she will lose her outline. So well muscled & a perfect mover all round. BP, CC, BOB & G4; 2 Whittaker’s Wengormick Petite Lady, bigger all through but also nice quality. Has a break in downface over the eyes. Good strength of foreface, excellent front & body is good for age. Has a slight dip in topline at present. Moved OK; 3 Shaw’s Badlesmere Bitovalrite. JB (1) A. PGB (4,2) 1 Spaltenstein’s Lafenice Canzonetta, true Miniature of super size, width & strength. A little erratic moving & probably would go better outside as she was a little tense. I liked her head, body, outline & power. Moved a little over-wide going away but good in front. Nice outline; 2 Cox’s Seayess Tartan Mist, pleasing head & neck, nice dark triangular eyes, OK in front, well ribbed back. A little too flat in croup & tail set on too high. Very erratic on the move & needs practice for the ring. Too big. LB (4,1) 1 Ensell’s Erenden Waltzing Matilda at Minimayhem, super head & profile of head, well filled in & has strength & length of foreface. A mite too big all through but she is so sound & free moving, good depth & width of chest, powerful impressive rear. Tail carried too high. Well balanced front & rear; 2 Rowe & Hemstock’s Adderswood Catt of Jolihem, better for size, attractive head & expressive eyes. Too straight in shoulder & quarters. OK in body & in good coat & muscular condition, better tail carriage than 1 but not her movement; 3 Wiles’ Adderswood Vyvyan for Arcazy. OB (5,1) 1 Presland & Vincent’s Ir Ch Kofyn Karbon Footprint, good outline & neat right through, good profile. A mote more depth of foreface would improve her head. Good neck, OK in front & typical front movement, solid body. Moves a little too wide going away & swings her rear. In excellent coat & muscular condition. RCC; 2 McGregor’s Bullypins Millima of Merlindan, a pleasing bitch, she could lose a lot of weight over her waist & rump. Moved well & showed OK, good head & strength of foreface. Tail carried too high; 3 Vickers’ Eastwell Violet with Duvessa. ZENA THORN-ANDREWS |
