MINIATURE BULL BORDER UNION 16 Judge(s): MRS M S WARD (ZABARETTS) Miniature Bull Terriers The weather was kind & I was pleased with the overall quality, as expected some size variations, overall mouths were OK & good temperament with all exhibits a point we should all remember as important as construction. PGD (2) 1 Todd’s Bullyon Bonzo’s Measure, white with good overall body shape, liked his bone to substance ratio, well proportioned head shape, correct mouth, good front with well boned legs, but scored more in strong back quarters, which showed in powerful movement from behind; 2 Thain’s Warbonnet William Wallace, powerful br/w with well filled headpiece, strong neck & rib with enough brisket, good substance to match body shape, full of himself & bully fun made handler work hard, but he brought him round & no problem moving. LD (2) 1 Whittaker’s Wengormick Petite Pirate, loved the profile & body shape to this smart quality white, with patch over the eye only completing the overall masculine picture, strength to head with fill under the eye & gentle curve, correct mouth, good dentition, strong muscular neck into shoulders, enough space between well boned legs, well sprung rib, with just the right amount of substance, strong hindquarters with a good second thigh giving the power from behind on the move, good parallel movement both fore & aft, lovely balance dog, giving him the edge, overall strength without exaggeration, happy to award CC; 2 Woods’ Prince Guvnor at Kiltonthorpe, liked the overall body outline to this solid tri, good shaped head, nice curve with correct mouth, would just have liked a little more underjaw to complete, strong neck, liked his eye & ear carriage adding to expression, solid front, well rounded bone with good rib & covering, no problem on the move. OD (3,1a) 1 Dobbin’s Debully Shooting Star, no doubting the sex on this powerful headed r/w male, lovely profile & fill up, eye to match coat colour with correct mouth & lovely expression, strong neckline with good solid well boned legs & strength in front with brisket & ribs completing the picture, well muscled hindquarters, not disappointed on the move with power both ways, would just have preferred a little less weight to complete the balance, which made the difference in the challenge, happy to award RCC; 2 Boyne’s Decadance Dauntless at Boannadeen, lovely headed white with ear markings to complete the picture, nice curve, enough fill, & correct mouth, loved his eye & expression, good overall body shape, liked his neck & shoulders, just right on bone with substance to match, well ribbed, plenty of muscle on hindquarters, lot to like on this dog, but lost out on movement as did not like the grass. PB (2) 1 Bennett & Pickering’s Quayardson Lady Grainger at Phunsize, lovely confident 10 months b/w, good head with nice length & fill, correct mouth, body maturing in keeping with age, with good front & bone, nice length of neck & ribs nicely sprung, hindquarters developing but overall a nicely balanced youngster, happy in the ring, a great asset & never let handler down on the move, happy to award BP; 2 Boyne’s Duvessa Chiquita at Boannadeen, plenty going for her, this pretty m/b just 8 months, well developed head for age, with length, curve & fill, just right for this stage of maturity, nice eye placement & loved her expression, overall body shape more mature in front quarters at this stage of her development, not quite as confident on the move as above, but this will come. JB (1) 1 Stephens’ Glitter Stars Vis A Vis Seayess, liked the headpiece on this feminine 15 month old, enough space between the legs, with bone & substance to match, ribs well sprung & nice in overall profile, used her ears to advantage enhancing expression, feel she has a little more maturity to come, not so happy on the move, but handler worked well with her and she moved OK when settled.
