MINIATURE BULL BORDER UNION 14 Judge(s): MRS SYLVIA J MONAGHAN Miniature Bull Terriers My thanks to my exhibitors for their entries many I know had travel great distances today. Exhibits had good health & temperaments but we the still getting the usual ongoing assortment of sizes. Trying to find its right level that will be ongoing for some time to come. I observed one canine tooth fault, two were getting tight & may cause problems later on. The faults that needs to be addressed are poor fronts, toeing & close hind movements. Heads are still lacking underjaw & please if you can’t attend ring training, practice with your dog/bitches at home to get them ‘settled’ in the ring. Most of all don’t feed food to them when the judge is trying to examine their mouths. PD (3,2a) 1 Rogers’ My Sibul’s Red October, red dog, promising youngster, head is nicely defined with good ear carriage, dark eyed & correct dentition. Ratio to size. He does need more weight & unfortunately is let down on movement which toes in at front & is close on back (this might improve as he matures & with the right exercise). JD (1) 1 Ring’s Bouncing Gems Brother Grimm, brindle dog, presents a good picture of substance to size. Head lacks arc & fill but has correct dentition. Nice reach of neck set onto well laid shoulders. Good fore angulation but is straight on stifle, this does not affect his movement & he was one of the best movers today. Well handled. PGD (0). LD (4,1) 1 Dobbin’s Debully Relentless, white dog, impressive dog. Super head with arc fill & correct dentition. The conformation of his bone & substance is really eyecatching. Good length of neck tapering onto well laid shoulders. Fore & hindquarters are correctly angulated which shows in his movement & drive. Couldn’t fault & well worthy of his CC; 2 Peacher & Lambert’s Lafenice Tamino of Caliber, brindle, restless & hard to handle today just wanted to play. Head has arc but lacks on fill. Correct dentition, has bone & substance to size & is one of our smaller types presenting a good overall balanced picture. Nice fore & hind angulation. Unfortunately (when settled) tends to elbow on the front on the move. RCC; 3 Boyne’s Decadance Dauntless at Boannadeen. OD (4,1) 1 Brommont-Lothary & McGregor’s Merlinden Captain Chaos, bl/br, liked the size of this dog. Compact & ratio to size. Lacks on head (underjaw). Correct dentition, nice reach of neck into a good lay of shoulder. Well defined fore & hindquarters. Movement close on back; 2 Rogers’ Seayess Codition Black at Mysibul, b/br, larger type but has conformation to size. Presenting a balanced picture. All major points covered with sound movement; 3 Vickers’ Duvessa King Charisma. VD (0). PB (4) 1 Vickers’ Duvessa Rhea, w/br ear, was impressed with this puppy & am sure will make her mark in the breed as she matures. At present is at the ’lanky’ stage but is feminine & good ratio for size with nice bone. Was unsettled on move but in time this will all come together; 2 Rogers’ Mysibul’s Light My Fire, tri, compact & to size. Lacks on head, but adequate substance & bone, nicely angulated fore & hindquarters. Moved soundly & with drive; 3 McCreadie’s Gaindyke Gilded Lily. JB (4,1) 1 Presland’s Kofyn Kandy Krush, red, what ring presence, stands foursquare & all attributes. Everything going for her & another bitch who will make her mark in the breed. Does lack a little on head but with all other good points can carry this. Was happy to give her the CC, BOB & BP, she may be young but she was worthy of it. Moved soundly & was well handled; 2 Boyne’s Decadance Dollar Belle at Boannadeen, b/br, another promising bitch with all major points, unfortunately wouldn’t settled & difficult to assess fully otherwise could have given a stronger challenge for 1st place; 3 Wilson & Barr’s Iffenbull Lady Luck. PGB (2) Both handlers in this class require more practice as their bitches could have been better shown. 1 Woods’ Duvesssa Little Eva at Kiltonthorpe, w/r/eared, feminine & one of our smaller types. Has arc fill but lacks on underjaw. Has overall conformation to size with nice bone & substance. Movement was erratic but this could be due to handling; 2 Stephens’ Coxgal Fae Girders by Seayess, to size & ratio, head is well defined but has dentition fault. As stated good handling brings out the better points to display to the judge. Was unable to assess fully but gave allowance on the handlers experience. LB (3,1) 1 Ring’s Bouncing Gems Ashford, brindle, loved this little bitch. She is feminine, the right size. Everything in proportion. Just lacks a little on head but good dentition. Stands foursquare with nice angulations to fore & hindquarters. Pushed hard for CC but just lacked extra ‘zush’ in challenge. RCC; 2 Nicholls’ Decadance Diamantra for Andriona, w/r/eared, larger type. Lacks on head but had correct dentition. Good bone, substance & has ratio to size. Is let down by her movement. OB (4,1) 1 Badlesmere Bellarmine, tri, one of our petite ladies, love her size. Presents a good picture with all virtues. Lacks a little on head. Another pushing for CC today again lacking that extra ‘sparkle’ that could have got her there; 2 Martignone Roberts’ Spec Tacular Debully, white, another eyecatcher. Larger type but her overall picture presents balance to type. Lacks a little on head, has nice reach of neck set onto well laid shoulders. Strong substance & bone. Well angulated & moved OK. Appeared lethargic today otherwise might have changed places with 1; 3 Roger & Grant’s Seayess Tarten Star of Granddach. VB (0). SYLVIA J MONAGHAN |
