MINIATURE BULL JUDGE BLACKPOOL 21

Always a pleasure to judge this breed and there were some very good ones present amongst the small numerical entry. Thanks to my stewards, Irene Glen and her apprentice Carolyn Hall, enjoying her first stewarding experience and proving very capable at the job.

OD (4)

1 Hearne, Singleton & Catilina’s Ch Dofro Stormbreaker Warbonnet. 2 years, great mover and showman and holds a good topline. I’d prefer him a little longer in foreface but good skull and ears and eyes. Good substance and carries himself well. BOB.

2 Emett’s Ch Dofro Avenging Storm. Litter brother, I preferred the head of this dog for his superb down face and lovely eye. Jaunty mover but rather wide in front. Very good rear. Quality dog with great temperament. RBD.

3 Wood’s Phunsize Divo Cato With Kiltonthorpe.

PB (2, 1)

1 Wilson & Harper’s Olympusbulys Athena. Coloured bitch with long head which needs a little more fill but well shaped, good eye. Excellent dentition. Moves well. Could have a little more rear angulation, but she has a lot of quality and carries herself well. Best Puppy and RBOS.

JB (1)

1 Wood’s Kiltonthorpe Midnight Sun. 17 months coloured bitch with lovely head shape and excellent dentition. A little long for perfect balance, but strong topline and good movement. Carrying her tail high as just in season. Has quality.

OB (3, 2)

1 Bennett & Pickering’s Phunsize Diva Heddy. 2 years brindle/white who was overawed on the day. She has a very good head and eye and good dentition. A little short on the leg for balance, clean action but needs more confidence in the carriage.

VB (1)

1 Bennett & Pickering’s Quayardson Lady Delacour At Phunsize. 7 year old brindle in great form with good head and correct mouth, a touch short on the leg but excellent topline and movement. BB & BV.
