ENGLISH BULL WINDSOR 14 Judge: Mr R Lamonby BEST OF BREED : 2773 MATHISON Mrs R & Mr S Blazinbullys Dark Knight ENGLISH BULL JUDGE WINDSOR 14 Bull Terriers It was a great honour & pleasure to judge at Windsor show, probably the most fabulous setting for a show in the country. I had a very good entry with plenty of quality present. While I realise that outdoor fields are not ideal to access movement, I feel that movement on the whole is an area that we breeders need to improve. PD (2) 1 Howes & Sheppard’s Polanca Powerslave, tall upstanding brindle, head has good profile, would like more width, correct mouth. Nice length in neck, decent shoulders, good front & feet. A little long cast, adequate quarters, moved well. BP; 2 Ironmonger’s Britanic Sebastian, red, decent head, needs fill, 1 tooth out, hard to access his structure as something seemed to of spooked him. JD (3,1a) 1 Westwood’s Broken Arrows Peaky Blinder at Tulsadoom, tall upstanding brindle, good head, correct mouth. Nice length in neck, good shoulders & forechest, great bone & substance. A little long cast, decent rearquarters, moved well; 2 Morgan & Ling’s Polanca Thunderstruck at Tytorro, white with 2 brindle ears, good head, mouth under, decent shoulders, long in back, moved OK. YD (1) 1 Paterson’s Golitha Mystify, bl/br. Good strong head, mouth OK, keen expression. Reachy neck into good shoulders, front & feet, nice spring of rib, shapely quarters, showed & handled well. PGD (4,1) 1 Hilling’s Chardaice Fist Of Fury, brindle, good head, mouth OK, eye a little bold which dulls his expression, decent shoulder, nice front & feet, moderate length in back, moved OK; 2 Moore’s Charming King, well balanced brindle, decent head, needs power & finish, correct mouth, decent shoulder, moderate length in back, moved OK; 3 Kennedy’s Abbie’s Lucky Lad. LD (2) 1 Burridge & Parkes’ Chardaice Dillinger, well balanced red in excellent condition, good head, could use more fill, keen expression, correct mouth. Clean lay of shoulder, good front, decent feet. Short back, good topline, shapely rearquarters, nice bodylines throughout, moved & showed well. RCC; 2 Smalley’s Briden Backchat, white with powerful head, keen expression, mouth is under.. Good front & feet, short back, movement lacks drive. OD (6,1) 1 Mathison’s Blazinbullys Dark Knight, eyecatching bl/br in top condition. Good head, could perhaps use a bit more power, tiny eye, correct ear placement giving a punishing expression. Lovely length of neck into clean shoulders, good front & feet, moderate length in back, good topline, quarters need more power & angulation, moved adequately. CC & BOB, performed well in the group getting shortlisted to the last 8; 2 Newberry’s Ukusa Quagmire, white with a strong head, good eye, ears wide set which detracts from his expression. Strong neck, adequate shoulder needing more upper arm, good bone & substance. Moved OK, showed well; 3 Young’s Feenicks Next Generation at Bullyview. GC (1) 1 Pickering’s Aldamar Power Storm Bennett, bl/br, decent head, good eye, good reach of neck, average shoulder, showed & moved well. PB (4,1) 1 Foster’s Bilboen Beyond The Stars, head has good profile, needs more fill, correct mouth, good earset. Long reach of neck, good front & feet, moderate length in back, handled & showed well; 2 Dyson’s Gorbain Ice Maiden Tawnbarr, white with nice feminine head, correct mouth. Good shoulder decent front, movement a little erratic today; 3 Wright’s Lose Yourself at Credetta. JB (2,1) 1 Danelaw Eden Project, white with nice feminine head, mouth OK, decent front section, nice spring of rib, a little longcast, shapely quarters, moved & handled well. YB (3,1) 1 O’Connell’s Koellen Penny Black, bl/br, strong well filled head, just needs more length in muzzle, mouth OK, has 1 tight canine. Well balanced throughout with good front & forechest, movement lacked drive; 2 Creaghan’s Archagen Freak Unique, white, decent head needs more power & quality, perfect mouth, good front, slightly long in back, moved OK. PGB (6) 1 Foster’s Bilboen Angels Kiss, typy brindle, well filled feminine head, mouth OK, 1 tight canine. Good front & feet, good bone & spring of rib, short back, would like more rear angulation; 2 Cserfalvi-Young’s Ducassos Proud Mary, powerful white, strong head, mouth OK, 1 tight canine, good front, feet untidy, good bone & substance, moderate length in back, movement lacks drive; 3 Thomas’ Bronygarn Bobbys Girl at Mostahbull. LB (7,2) 1 Seward’s Padhen Pearl’s Princess, quality well balanced brindle, lovely feminine head, good expression & perfect mouth. Well angulated front section, straight front & catlike feet. Short back, quarters need more angulations & power hence her movement lacked drive; 2 Newberry’s Bullytrip Hells Angel at Ukusa, bl/br in gleaming condition, head has good gentle profile but needs more fill, correct mouth. Good shoulder, front & feet. Moderate length in back, shapely quarters, would like more power throughout; 3 Karta-Williams’ Karmara’s Rumour Has It. OB (8) 1 Lhomme’s Goodbye To Helen Wheels at Kaiserbull, well balanced white combining type, quality & free from exaggerations. Lovely feminine head, keen expression & correct mouth. Nice reach of neck into correct shoulder, good front & feet. Nice spring of rib, moderate length in back, good topline, nice bend of stifle, beautiful bodylines throughout, moved, showed & presented well. CC; 2 Phillips’ Bullyon Imeasureabull Ness, white with a power packed, strong, yet feminine head, keen expression & correct mouth. Lovely reach of neck, good shoulder & front, feet could be better. Good bone & substance, moved OK, handled & showed well. RCC; 3 Catilina & Szewczyk’s Quentinhill Rebelicious. RUSS LAMONBY |
